Education | I chose to attend the University of Alabama, located in Tuscaloosa. I chose this school because it is my favorite, they have a great sports program, and they offer what I'm looking for. I am now looking for a job as a football coach or an athletics teacher. | I chose this profession because I love football and being a coach is something I've always wanted to do.

Profession | Some key responsibilities of being a football coach are maintaining the players, be an example, and make the players better people. | Football coaches have varying salaries. 6A High school head coaches make around $74,000/year with added incentives, while a NFL head coaches make $7 million/year.

 City Overview

Now that I have graduated, I plan to move to Houston, Texas. I chose to live in this city because it's nice, big, and has a good average income. The overall population of this city is 2.1 million people. This city is about a hour away from the Gulf of Mexico. Some primary forms of entertainment in Houston are amusement parks, museums, NFL team, MLB team, NBA team, and the Space Center. Most people in this city work in the construction industry. Crime in this city is above the American average.

 Standard Living

I am going to live at Signature Point Apartments in Houston, Texas. The rent for this apartment is $844/month. In order to move in, I will have to pay $355 deposit and fees. Some features of this apartment are it is smoke free community, washers and dryers in unit, 24 hour fitness center, fishing lake, and it is pet friendly. Some other bills that I have to pay each month are lights and water.

 Household Items

The apartment I chose came equipped with washer/dryer in unit, microwave, dishwasher, stove, and refrigerator. Therefore I had to purchase items such as a bed, a couch, end tables, and a desk. With the assistance of my $2,000 graduation present I had extra money left over for the month. The majority of these funds were spent on furniture and appliances. Some of my priorities in furnishing my apartment were making sure that is wasn't empty and had life in it. Some things that I had to do without were kitchen table, mini-fridge, and a love seat.

 Transportation

At this point in the project, I can afford a car. I have chosen a 2009 MINI Cooper as my form of transportation. This car costs $13,398. I will need to pay for $419.53 a month. The APR is 5% and the loan term is for 36 months. The total interest paid is $1,105.08 and the total paid for the car is $15,103.08.

 Grocery List

My total grocery bill for this month was $636. I purchased items in the following categories: Breakfast, Lunch, & Snacks - $228 Dinner - $90 Hygiene - $130 Home - $108 Other - $80 The majority of my money was spent in the Breakfast, Lunch, & Snacks because it is 3 categories put into one. I believe that this grocery list will be sufficient in feeding me for the month. In drafting this grocery list, I learned that groceries cost way more than I expected.

 Entertainment & Miscellaneous Items

After paying all of my monthly bills, I have $1,676.05 left to spend on entertainment and miscellaneous items. I have to set aside for the following: Savings - $350 Home Maintenance - $25 Vehicle Maintenance - $75 Fast Food - $20 Hair/Salon Care - $5 Entertainment - $50 Clothing - $300 Shoes - $100 Pet Care - $15 After making allocations for this section, my final budget is $736.05
