1: Basic Infomation | Dr. Seuss' real name is Theodor Seuss Geisel. | He was born on March 2, 1904 in Springfield, Massachusetts. | He died on September 24, 1991 at the age of 86 in La Jolla, California. | He died of cancer. | He is famous for his children's books as an author and illustrator.

2: At six years old he could read books like A Christmas Carol. | Childhood | When he was a child his mother would always soothe him by chanting rhymes to him.

3: His parents are Theodor Robert and Henrietta Seuss Geisel. | Family | His mother immigrated from Bavarian in the 19th Century. | He had no brothers or sister.s
