1: Once upon a time, there was a beautiful baby boy who was welcomed into the world by two loving parents and their family and friends...

3: sweet baby Kaleb... | heard for the very first time and a playful kick reminds her that she is never alone...
4: Ten little fingers and ten little toes...
5: That baby boy is me, Kaleb. This is the first day out of my mommy's tummy, August 10, 2009. My name means strong and bold, two words that described me very well from the start.
6: When I was still in Mommy's tummy, the doctors found out my tiny heart would need to be fixed after I was born.
7: Lots of people were at the hospital when I made my appearance. Everyone was so excited to see that I was a strong little boy.
8: My mommy finally got to eat after working so hard to get me out!
9: The nurses had to take me straight to the nursery so that they could monitor my little heart before surgery.
10: After being in the nursery for a little while, they took me to a new hospital, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Here I stayed in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit where there were other babies just like me.
11: These are some very special moments of my mommy and daddy holding me in the hospital. I sure do love being in their arms.
12: When I was just four days old, i had my first open heart surgery. it's a lot for a baby to go through, but i am one tough little boy!

14: After being in the Cardiac ICU for weeks, I was finally strong enough to move to the step down unit. Here, I had my very own room and my Mommy and Daddy could stay with me all night!
15: There were even clowns playing music just for me as we walked to my new room! 16: I had lots of visitors in stepdown.. Everyone was excited that I was a strong and growing little boy!!

18: This is my big brother Kaiden. We all call him "KK". He always plays with me and makes me smile when he visits!

20: I love it when my grandparents come to see me, too. I've got them wrapped around my little finger!

22: After weeks and weeks of being in the hospital, I finally got to go home. We were all so excited! I had lots of cool balloons to welcome me as I got to see my house for the first time. Now, I can be held whenever I want and nobody wakes me up at night!

28: December 2009 My first Christmas was great! I got to be held and loved on by all my family.

36: At the end of December 2009, I had to go back to the hospital. My little heart was beating too fast and the doctor's found out I was in heart failure. I had to have another surgery to put a pacemaker in so my heart would beat correctly.
37: The doctor's weren't very hopeful that my surgery would work, but with lots of thoughts and prayers, I proved all of them wrong. I got to return home a couple of weeks later.

39: I loved the beach! I got to play in the sand, swim with daddy, and soak up the sun all week.

42: After we got back from the beach, I had to have my G-tube put in. Now I can handle my feeds better and don't have to have that thing in my nose..

58: On January 23, 2011, the angels came down to Mommy and Daddy's room while I was sleeping and took me to heaven to be with Jesus. Don't worry, I am safe here in his arms. We may not understand why I only spent 17 months here on Earth, but Jesus had a greater plan for me. Where I am, there is no sickness, no tears, and I will never have to go through another surgery. I have a brand new little heart and am walking on streets of gold with our Lord. I sure do miss being in my Mommy and Daddy's arms and playing with KK and Alena, but I know I will see everyone again someday. Until then, celebrate my life and cherish all the memories. 60: Hello Mother, Hello Father, Guess Who? Angel Kaleb looking down upon you. I do not want you to worry, and please do not fret, Believe me I am having the best time yet. I am in such a beautiful place, here the streets are paved with gold. I would never tell you not to cry for tears are an outlet for your soul, Places neither time can ever erase These seventeen months of God's mercy and grace, Even though it was just a little while. Remember my giggles, remember my smile, Always keep me in your thoughts, think of me each and everyday. God will surely give you the strength to help you continue on life's pathway.
61: I really did not want to leave you, I had just became a little tired. I know how much you loved me, and I loved you both the same. But the time had come for me to rest, no more hospitals, no more pain. An angel came and told me to close my eyes, then God gently rocked me to sleep in his arms. Now safe and secure from this old world, where nothing can ever do me no harm, you know there is someone greater than you and I who has now spoken from heaven on high.
