1: We first went to the hospital on Wednesday night after youth group because Mommy had been having consistent contractions. Once at the hospital they hooked me up to the monitors and didn't see any regular activity so they discharged me. We came back Friday morning at 6:30. They started Pitocin at 8:00 and I walked around the halls with Daddy for an hour until Dr. Ann Sullivan came and broke my water at 9:00. She had a hard time breaking my water and wasn't sure if she even got it. I started feeling uncomfortable and ordered the epidural and got it at 11:00. They weren't seeing much change, so they had me sit up so that gravity would help you drop down. I thought I was ready because I was feeling pressure and was starting to shake. All of a sudden 4 nurses came in and they checked me because your heart rate had dropped which told them that it was time to push. It took 2 pushes and then you were out. You were born at 2:07pm. You had the cord wrapped around your neck one time. Since you came so fast your face was quite bruised. I got to hold you on my chest right away which I loved. Daddy was nervous at first because they had an extra nurse come and check you because they said you were retracting. Everything was fine though.
