3: To celebrate your first birthday, we gave you a princess themed party. Mom, dad and you were very excited for your special day. And even though we got a huge snowstorm on the day of your party, all your friends and family still made it. You loved everything about your party except your birthday cake. You wanted nothing to do with it! Eventually, we figured out that you didn't like to get your fingers dirty. Well, we guess you are a true princess!
4: Christmas 2010
5: Getting ready for Christmas was so much fun this year. A few of our favorite memories include: Cutting down our Christmas tree, Making Christmas cookies with the VanHandels, Decorating our tree (and your own tree that daddy cut down for you), Having Santa come visit our house and Sitting on Santa's lap for the first time (which you weren't a big fan of.)

20: Everytime you would go to Grandma Bonnie and Grandpa Wayne's you would always find the kitties to play with. Your favorites were the baby kittens. | You loved to be in the bathroom whenever mommy was getting ready. I would often find you in my make-up bag, trying to get yourself ready too! | One of a Kind | You're
21: We made Thanksgiving hats by Grandma Geri's. You wanted to wear yours everyday. Eventually mommy had to hide it because you always wanted to wear it to daycare. | One of your favorite places to hang out was in the pantry. Mommy & daddy learned pretty quickly to move the treats to the top shelf where your little hands couldn't reach them.

23: To celebrate Mommy and Daddy's 5 year anniversary, the three of us spent the weekend in Door County. We went to a petting zoo, went on a horse-drawn carriage ride and walked on the beach. ~May 2011~
25: In May, we headed down to Madison to see Uncle Jeff graduate from college. We were so proud of him! And, after five years away, we were excited to have him move back home so he could see you and Ady more often.
26: The following words were sung by the VerKuilen family at Grandpa's funeral. "Surrounded by Your glory, what will my heart feel. Will I dance for you Jesus or in awe of you be still. Will I stand in your presence or to my knees will I fall. Will I sing hallelujah. Will I be able to speak at all. I can only imagine." | We went to visit Grandpa George a few weeks before he passed away. Everyone was a bit sad because we knew his time on earth was coming to an end. During our visit, you brought both smiles and tears to everyone's faces. You were 1 and had just learned how to sing "Row, Row, Row Your Boat". You held onto Grandpa George's hands and sang for him. He was smiling the entire time - and so were we. Grandpa went to heaven soon after our visit, however you gave us all a precious memory to treasure. | A treasured memory | I can only imagine

33: It's amazing how your motherly instincts kicked in when you were just 1. You loved your babies. Most often, you would line up all your dolls on the fireplace and give them stroller rides. | Our queen of the laundry. You were mommy and daddy's little helper. 40: Halloween Camping | Lake of the Woods
41: This was your first time camping and you had so much fun. We went on a pumpkin hunt, played on the swings and went trick-or-treating. We dressed up as the Flintstones. You looked adorable but Papa and Daddy looked a little silly.
42: Halloween is one of mom's favorite holidays. For the 2nd year in a row, we invited all of our friends over for a big party. You loved seeing all your friends dressed up in their costumes!

45: Every month, we celebrate 'Family Fun Day' with the VanHandels and take turns to plan the activity. Uncle Jeff planned October. We went to the pumpkin patch and then headed to Grandma and Grandpas to carve our pumpkins and make pinecone birdfeeders. We couldn't have asked for a better fall day!
