1: All Because Two People Fell in Love
2: On Labor Day Morning... | mommy was just curious to know if I would be joining her and daddy. When mommy realized that I would soon be part of her and daddy's family, she was so surprised - - so surprised that she cried happy tears and said a thank you prayer to God, for this was a gift her and daddy had wanted and waited for so badly. The best part was yet to come. Mommy kept a secret for 3 days so that she could give daddy the best birthday present ever. She let daddy in on her secret and she says she will never forget daddy's reaction. He could not believe that I was on the way - - even if I was only the size of a poppy seed. | On Daddy's Birthday | 2011
4: I went to work just as usual. It was my last day with the kids. Once there I realized I was having contractions, though I was not worried. They were irregular and minor. I worked through the "baby" contractions all day. Had the whole school worried, though daddy had no clue what was going on. When I got home, things were getting more intense. We were headed to "aunt" Jenny and "uncle" Jeff's for pizza and a movie. I figured it could be a while and I did not want to sit around with nothing to do. Around 8:00pm, I was really feeling the contractions and we canceled dinner and movie. This was when I realized this was the real deal. I called Grandma Michelle and Papa Keith and they headed this way. | The Day You Were Born By Mommy | I called the hospital, but the on call doctor advised I stay and home a little while longer (contractions were 7-10 minutes apart). So Daddy and I had dinner (which I would later throw up) and I took a warm bath. At this point I am not sure daddy was convinced you would be coming to join us.
5: Around 11:00pm I called the hospital again (contractions were 5 minutes apart and I was pretty uncomfortable). Dr. Henderzah said to come on in. We arrived at the hospital around 12:00am, May 5th (it was pretty apparent you would be a Cinco de Mayo baby). Once at the hospital, I was monitored to see how things were progressing. At 1:00am, I was checked and dilated to 3.5 cm. That was when I knew I wanted an epidural. I wanted to rest and had no clue how fast or slow this would go, but it was looking to go slowly. I was finally admitted to my room around 2:00, received the epidural around 2:30. I was checked again at 3:00 and was at 7 cm! I guess it would be faster than I expected. After that I rested (thank you epidural) and 2 hours later I was at 10 cm, but could not feel much of anything, so the nurse, Sam, rolled me over and that did the trick. I rested for another hour and around 6:00 am, I did a practice push (successful), Dr. Henderzah came in and I started pushing. At 7:04am you were here! You came into the world loud and proud - and we immediately loved you.
