12: Dear Nate, We realized that it was one year ago today when we found out we were pregnant! We can remember it like it was just yesterday. It’s amazing how time flies. We didn’t find out you were a boy until November. You are the absolute light of our lives. We enjoy every minute of everyday with you and can’t wait for what’s ahead. Sometimes I wish there were more hours in the day just so we could love you longer....and possibly squeeze in an extra load of laundry! You are changing everyday. Lately, lots of drool, cooing, noticing EVERYTHING around you and smiling all the time. Even though it’s a bit early, it seems that you are teething - or starting to. Your toothless smile is so wonderful as it is. Can’t imagine it getting even better. Since this is your modern-day-baby book, we thought it would be nice to write you a little letter. We love you ALL there is....and then some. Love, Mommy and Daddy | Letter to Nate - August 9, 2009

24: Once we found out you were a boy, we decided to name you Trevor. For about three months, you were going to beTrevor Dixon. Something about it was just not right. While Nate is usually short for Nathan or Nathaniel. We didn't like either...but liked just Nate. With Hebrew origin, it means gift of god.” We didn't tell a soul what your name would be until you were born. Your middle name, Samuel, is in honor of mommy's most special Grandma Sally. She would have ADORED you. Your Hebrew name is Ari Lev, named after Daddy's grandfather, Larry. He was so excited about the arrival of his first great-grandson. Sadly, neither Grandma Sally or Papa got to meet you, Nate. It is so amazingly special to us that you carry their names in your heart & a part of them where ever you go. | Your name: Nate Samuel Dixon | Great-Papa Larry | Great-Grandma Sally
