S: Our First Year with Grace
FC: our first year with
1: For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made, Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them. How precious also are Your thoughts to me O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, They would be more in number than the sand; When I awake, Iam still with You. Psalm 139:13-16

45: My Dearest Grace, I am writing this letter to you on your very first birthday! Tears come to my eyes as I am overwhelmed by how deep my love for you has grown and how bittersweet it is to see your first year pass. As I reflect, I remember the moment I first saw you and I wondered who you would be and what type of personality you would have. Would you have mommy's stubbornness or daddy's charm? Or would you love to play outdoors in the dirt or would you rather play hockey? As I put this book together and look at all the pictures of my little Gracie, I recognize her and smile or laugh and sometimes even cry at who that little girl is. Your joy and the light that comes through your eyes and smile, is such a gift. Your character brings a smile to all faces, it is so unique - you make us all laugh. You soften my hardest parts and I am struck with awe at who and what you are and that we get to have you for our daughter. Grace, as this first year has ended, I can't wait to see what new and exciting adventures you will take us on, what you will learn, how you will grow, what you will like and dislike, and all the other parts of you blossom this next year! You are so very precious and I wish you more blessings then I can even imagine. Everyday we squeeze you and tell you how much we love you...and that will never change. Kisses, Hugs, & Noses
