1: The story of Trace's birth | You were supposed to be born on Monday October 12th the doctor wanted to induce the labor since there was only one artery in your umbilical cord and you were getting so big. He was scared that you would turn and kink the artery cutting off the blood supply. This was very dangerous so we decided to induce labor on Monday if you did not come over the weekend. We tried everything to start labor, every myth ever heard of however on Monday morning there was still no baby. The doctor told us to be ready anytime from 4 am that morning and they would call us in when they could get us started.. We waited all day by the phone for the call howeverMonday was soon over and still no baby.We went to bed at midnight frusterated about the day. We received a call at 3 am telling us to come in in the next half hour to have our baby. We arrived at the hospital and they started some medicine to start the labor. The contractions started but by noon I still was not dilating so they had to break my water. That made the contractions even worse. Still by 5 pm there was no baby and I was not progressing. The doctor told me I had at least 12 more hours and I wanted to cry. I was begging for something for the pain but the nurse told me to wait until shift change. I finally got something for pain around 7. At midnight the nurse told me it was time to push., towards the most intense part of labor just as you were starting to come your father was so excited he started texting your grandma and grandpa telling about your arrival I was so bothered that he was not focused on you and me that I took his phone and threw it back onto the couch but I missed the couch and it hit the wall and floor shattering into pieces. You finally arrived in St. George at 12::44 am on October 13, 2010 after 20 hours of labor. We had never experienced such an amazing thing before you were perfect. We still did not know what to name you until we saw your face and 2 days later randomly decided the perfect name for you was Trace.
