About Our Family | When your mommy and daddy were expecting you, they lived in downtown Cincinnati with their little dog, Lucy. We built a special bedroom just for you! Your grandparents live just an hour away and you have aunts, uncles, and cousins both near and far! Everyone was so excited to meet you!

Mommy and Daddy | Your mommy and daddy had their first date on Halloween in 2008. They knew their relationship was something special right from the beginning! They had so much fun together and had lots of adventures in the year they were dating.

Almost exactly one year later, Daddy proposed to Mommy. They were going out to dinner that evening, but before they left, Daddy told Mommy that there was a treat in the freezer. Mommy thought it would be ice cream! But when she opened the freezer, she saw an engagement ring! Just 7 short months later, on May 29, 2010, your mommy and daddy got married! It was such a happy day!

Shortly after your mommy and daddy got married, they got some exciting news! They learned that you would be coming into the world in just 9 months! Mommy wanted to tell Daddy in a funny way, so she sent him an email with a talking cat (Daddy likes funny cats). The cat told him that he was going to be a daddy!

W | When Mommy was 10 weeks along, she and Daddy went to the doctor hoping to hear your heartbeat for the first time. But she got a surprise! The doctor wasn't able to hear your heartbeat at first, so we got to take our first look at you! You were so cute- just like a little peanut! Mommy and Daddy fell in love instantly! | 10 Weeks

First, we told Daddy's family. All your great aunts, aunts, uncles, and cousins were at Poppi's and Noani's house to celebrate Noani's birthday. Poppi got Noani a charm bracelet and everyone gave her a charm. Daddy chose to get her a baby carriage charm. When she opened it, she was a little confused. Then she realized what it meant- that we were expecting you! Everyone was so happy and gave Mommy and Daddy lots of hugs! | Spreading the Good News

A couple weeks later, Mommy and Daddy were celebrating your cousin, Natalie's, 8th birthday. Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Jenny and Uncle John, Mommy and Daddy were all there. Aunt Heather and Uncle Josh were on their honeymoon. | For her present, Mommy gave Natalie some silly bands and a card. Natalie read the card aloud- Happy Birthday! Love, Aunt Erica, Uncle Alex, and your new baby cousin. Grandma was so happy she started to cry!

 14 Weeks

When you were 14 weeks old, Mommy and Daddy got to see you again. They thought they might be able to find out if you were a boy or girl, but it was too early. So, they had to wait a little longer!

18 Weeks | When you were 18 weeks old, Mommy and Daddy got some surprising news! They found out that you were a girl! They were so surprised because they thought you were going to be a boy! They were so excited to meet their little girl!

Our first glimpse at your perfect little leg and foot!

21 Weeks | When you were 21 weeks old, you started doing the most amazing thing! You started to kick your little legs and Mommy loved feeling your kicks! | Sometimes, if Mommy was being extra still, she could even SEE you kicking! Daddy loved watching you kick as well!

22 Weeks | When you were 22 weeks old, Mommy and Daddy got to see you again! They measured you and checked to make sure your little heart was working normally. Mommy and Daddy were so happy to get a good report!

Progress | Baby Shower hosted by my teaching friends

Mommy's coworkers- Sandy, Jenn, and Katie threw her a shower at Sandy's house. It was a lot of fun and good to catch up with old friends!

 Baby Shower hosted by Noani

Noani and her sisters threw a shower for Mommy. It was so much fun! Grandma gave Mommy the blanket that Mommy came home from the hospital in, and a blanket that Grandma Veda made for Mommy when she was a baby!

Your Birth Story | On Monday, March 14, Mommy was in the bathroom getting ready for work. When all of the sudden, she felt her water break! She told Daddy, but he was still in bed and kind of sleepy. Mommy called the doctor and they told her to come into the office for a check-up. So, Mommy and Daddy quickly packed a hospital bag (they weren't expecting you because you were coming 5 weeks early!) and cleaned up the house (they were having a showing that day!) and left for the doctor's office. The doctor confirmed that mommy's water broke, | so off to the hospital they went! They checked into the hospital around 11:00am, when Daddy and Mommy decided on your name. Mommy got an epidural and was relaxed most of the day. Grandma, Grandpa, Jenny, Heather, and Poppi were all there waiting on you to come into the world! Finally, around 5:45pm, Mommy started pushing. It was a little difficult because you were facing up- you must have wanted a better view! Then, at 7:33pm, you were finally here! Mommy and Daddy were so happy and so were all your visitors!

 Baby Shower with the teachers

When you were just 11 days old, Mommy went to her school because the teachers were throwing her a shower! Since you came into the world 5 weeks early, you got to come too! Everyone loved meeting you and thought you were beautiful!

After the shower with the teachers, Mommy took you upstairs to her classroom because her students were throwing her a shower also! They loved seeing you and thought you were so tiny! | Baby Shower with Students

 Your First Room

Your first room was decorated in pink and brown owls. Mommy bought the clip art, then made it into fabric so she could make your sheets, quilt, and bumper. She also designed the letters to spell your name, made you a hair bow holder, and added little touches to the hamper, lamp, and ceramic owl. She loved writing on your calendar every day.
