1: Christmas cooking At Christmas we normally sit round a table and eat, laugh and enjoy ourselves. There are some typical Catalan dishes which are eaten around Christmas. We eat cannelloni, stuffed chickens and ducks and carn d'olla. Carn d'olla consists of various types of meat simmered in broth. The broth is then eaten separately from the meat as two courses.

2: Not a typical Christmas dessert but it's easy to prepare and delicious !

3: CREPES RECIPE! INGREDIENTS: for 12 crepes. - A little butter - 2 eggs - 125g of flour - 300ml of milk - A pinch of salt RECIPE 1. First you must break the eggs, put them in a bowl and mix them. 2. First, Add 125 of flour in this bowl. 3. Then, add 300 ml of milk and mix all ingredients. 4. Put a pinch of salt and some butter and mix all ingredients. 5. Put all ingredients in a frying pan, this frying pan must have some butter, and make the crepe. 6. Finally add your favorite ingredient( chocolate, jam, cheese, etc) 7. 5: Christmas recipe Ingredients (serves 4): 450 g chicken breast 1 egg Neapolitan sauce 250 g mushrooms lemon salt 16 cannelloni tubes or sheets of pasta 2 tablespoons fresh parsley 1 tablespoon fresh tarragon 2 cloves garlic 50 g parmesan 1 knob of butter black pepper Steps in the chicken cannelloni recipe: -Step 1: Cook chicken and chop grilled meat in a food processor or by hand, but very tiny, like ground beef. -Step 2: Preheat oven to 200 . -Step 3: Place cleaned mushrooms, garlic, parsley and tarragon in a food processor and chop well, or, if not available, by hand, but also very often. -Step 4: Beat the egg and mix thoroughly with the chicken, mushroom mixture, lemon juice and season to taste. -Step 5: If necessary (follow manufacturer's instructions), cook the cannelloni in plenty of boiling water with a little salt and drain with a slotted spoon, then placed in a clean cloth that just lost water. Step 6: Fill the tubes with ground chicken, aided, if necessary, with a pastry bag with a mouth too thick. If you have chosen sheets of lasagna, cannelloni do with it. -Step 7: Place the cannelloni, arranged either close together in a baking pan, previously buttered. Step 8: With a ladle, pour the sauce Neapolitan go over and sprinkle with freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Step 9: Bake for half an hour, until golden and serve


7: Ingredients for the Christmas soup: Celery Pig Coles Beef Potatoes Vegetables Turnips Poultry Chickpeas Preparation for the Christmas soup: Put 10 litres in a large pot, start heating the water to boiling. After, put the salt and the chicken, duck, pig ear and vegetables. We cook it for 3 hours. Then, add the potatoes. Now, prepare the 'ball' with the minced meat. We mix the meat and then we add the eggs and the breadcrumbs and the parsley . Coat the balls with flour and add them to the soup (Last strain broth leaving separate the meat, vegetables so that it doesn't get cool. ) by Jordi Guals


9: Ingredients: A 150g of bare walnuts 200g of a fondant chocolate Butter Sugar Preparation: Put 100g of butter in a casserole. Add chocolate and walnut. Mix it until you get a consistent mass. Add 100g of sugar. Put the mass in a mould. Put it in the fridge. Take out the mass when it is hard. By Jordi Santasusagna


11: Baklava | In Catalonia we eat tortell de reis, a fruit-like pastry , as a dessert on the 6th January. We normally hide a bean and a figurine in the marzipan filling. The person who finds the bean pays for the cake and if you get the figurine you are the queen or king for that day. You are crowned with a paper crown.
