Sprinkle with 1 cup chopped walnuts. 3/4 cups butter (softened) 2/3 cup sugar 3 eggs (lightly beaten) 1 tsp vanilla cream together butter and sugar with electric mixer. Add eggs and vanilla and mix well. 1 1/3 cups flour 1 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt Combine in a separate bowl then add to creamed mixture, mixing well. Drop batter by large spoonfuls over cranberry mixture. Bake. | 350F | 40 min | 6
4: Chocolate Martini | 1 1/2 shots Godiva chocolate liqueur 1 1/2 shots creme de cacao 1/2 shot Smirnoff vodka 2 1/2 shots half-and-half Mix in shaker with ice Pour into martini glass Garnish with chocolate shavings
6: Nana | Italian Wedding Soup | 16 cups water, 2 boneless chicken breasts, i bunch kale (or escarole or spinach), 5-6 chicken bullion cubes to taste, i cup pustina, 12-15 meatballs, 2 eggs, 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese 1. Boil chicken in water, clean and cook kale 2. cut both into pieces and add to soup along with meatballs, pustina and bullion, mix eggs and parmesan, drizzle into boiling soup | 20 min | 10

10: Nana's Easter Bread | Ingredients 3 cups all-purpose flour 1/4 cup sugar 1 (.25 ounce) package active dry yeast 1 teaspoon salt 2/3 cup warm milk (120 to 130 degrees F) 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened 7 eggs 1/2 teaspoon anise seeds vegetable oil Directions In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup flour, sugar, yeast and salt. Add milk and butter; beat 2 minutes on medium. Add 2 eggs and 1/2 cup flour; beat 2 minutes on high. Stir in aniseed; mix well. Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough. Turn onto a lightly floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, 6-8 minutes. Place in a greased bowl; turn once to grease top. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour. lightly rub with oil. Punch dough down. Divide in half; roll each piece into a 24-in. rope. Loosely twist ropes. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 30 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from pan; cool on a wire rack.
11: Steve and Jill | Corn Bread | combine: 2 cups cornmeal, 1/4 cup honey or brown sugar, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp baking soda Mix in: 2 cups milk or yogurt mix in: 3 eggs (beaten) 2 cups corn 1tsp hot or mild green chilies (optional) Pour into greased 2.5 quart casserole dish. Bake in preheated oven until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. | 350F | 40 min | 4
12: Mama's Chili | Brown 1 pound ground beef (Drain fat if cooking in crock pot) 1/2 Chopped onion 1/2 Chopped green pepper 1 can of tomato soup 2 cans of diced tomatoes (with jalapenos already in them, I think its Hunts brand) A pack of chili seasoning 2 cans of kidney beans mix all ingredients and cook about an hour on stove
15: Faligones | 6 potatoes 1 medium onion 1 medium zucchini 1 medium green pepper 1-2 hot peppers 1 egg 1 Tablespoon parsley 1/4 cup parmesan cheese oil salt and pepper to taste Slice potatoes, onion, zucchini and peppers Mix with all remaining ingredients Fold into pocket of dough and crimp edges with a fork, cut slits in top
17: Mama's Lasagna | Cook and cool flat lasagna noodles Make your sauce with meat balls Mix ricotta cheese, salt, pepper, parmesean cheese, and 1 egg layers: Noodle, Meat Cheese mix Sauce Mozzarella cheese Keep layering until you run out of noodles Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees
19: Jill's Chocolate Chip Cookies | 1 cup granulated sugar 1 cup brown sugar 2 sticks butter, soft 2 eggs 1 1/2 tsp vanilla | place sugars, butter, eggs, and vanilla in mixer bowl. Attach bowl and flat beater to mixer. Turn to speed 2 and mix about 30 seconds. Stop and scrape bowl. Turn to speed 4 and beat about 30 seconds. stop and scrape bowl Turn to stir speed. Gradually add baking soda, salt, and flour to sugar mixture and mix about 2 minutes. Turn to speed 2 and mix about 30 seconds. Stop and scrape bowl. Add chocolate chips. Turn to stir speed and mix about 15 seconds. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheets, about 2 inches apart. Bake at 375 F for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from baking sheet immediately and cool on wire racks. Makes about 4 1/2 dozen | 1tsp baking soda 1 tsp salt 3 cups all-purpose flour 12 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate chips
21: "There is no love sincerer than the love of food." ~George Bernard Shaw | Gob Cake | mix 1 chocolate cake mix as directed on the box Add: 1 package of instant chocolate pudding, 2 eggs, a1/4 cup Criso Mix 5 minutes on medium speed Line 2 equal sized cookie sheets with waxed paper Pour 1/2 batter on each cookie sheet Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes, until done While cake cooks mix filling Filling 2 egg whites - beat until stiff - Then add 2 cups powdered sugar Mix then add 3/4 cups hot canned (evaporated milk Beat to dissolve the sugar mixture Add 3/4 cup margarine, 3/4 cup Crisco and 1 tablespoon vanilla beat until smooth and creamy - about 9 minutes store in a cool place
22: Pizzelles 3 Eggs 1 Cup Sugar 2 Cups Flour I cup Crisco 1/4 Tsp Anise Whisk smooth and scoop small lump onto pizzelle iron | The top of this mountain in Israel had Anise plants growing all over it. The whole place smelled like pizzelles!
23: Name | Grandma Benson's Oatmeal Gumdrop cookies | In large bowl: I cup butter (or 1/2 lard 1/2 butter) 1 tsp vanilla 2 well beaten eggs 1 cup white sugar , 1 cup brown sugar 2 cups flour sifted with: 1 tsp baking soda and 1 tsp baking powder 2 cups oatmeal 1 cup shredded coconut 1 cup chopped gum drops Mix well and form into balls with your hands Mash out with forks dipped in milk Put some whole gumdrops on top Bake at 350 for 12 to 15 min
