2: Debbie Bowers for Sharon Wonderly | Cherry Dessert | In a 9x13 pan make a graham cracker crust. Mom always made the non bake kind. We love the crust so much that we make it with 2 pks of crackers 1 1/2 sticks of margarine and 3 T. of sugar so it is about 1/2 an inch thick! Filling: 1 1/2 pks cream cheese 1/2 c. sugar 1 large container coolwhip 1 1/2 t. vanilla Blend together the cream cheese, sugar and vanilla till well mixed. Blend in the coolwhip last. Spread evenly over crust. Top with 2 cans of cherry pie filling and refrigerate 4hrs. | Every Sunday after church we would go to grandma Wonderly's for the day. All the aunts, uncles and cousins in the area would be there. Some of my fondest memories growing up are of those Sundays. Gramdma always had time to show me needlework techniques and when the weather was good we would make homemade icecream. My mom always brought this cherry dessert and I continue the tradition whenever we get together. -Debbie
