1: * Benjamin Harrison was born on August 20, 1833 in Ohio. *Harrison joined the military in 1862 to fight in the Civil War. *Harrison's opponent in the presidency was Grover Cleveland. *His running mate was Levi Morton *Harrison has two half sisters, three full brothers, and two full sisters. *His mom was Elizabeth Irwin Harrison and his father was John Scott Harrison.

2: His time as president is most remembered for Harrison's economic legislation, which included the McKinley Tariff and the Sherman Antitrust Act. He was President for one term, from 1889 until 1893. The federal spending during his presidency reached a billion dollars for the first time. During his time as president, he viewed six states become part of the country.

4: Father: John Scott Harrison - Member of the U.S. House; son of one president and father of another. Mother: Elizabeth Irwin Harrison - Died when her son was almost 17. Siblings: Two half sisters, three full brothers, and two full sisters.

5: Wife: Caroline Lavinia Scott - Died in 1892. Mary Scott Lord Dimmick - Married 1896 when he was 62 and she was 37. Children: One son and one daughter by first wife and one daughter by second wife.
