2: ACL MUSIC FEST In what has become a rite of fall in Austin since 2001, ACL Festival has brought music lovers together for three full days of unforgettable music and an unmistakable Austin vibe.

3: BEYONCE SOLO ARTIST Beyonce was born on September 4, 1981 in Houston, Texas. She discovered she could sing at age 7. She got her first recording deal in 1997. Her group scored its first No. 1 single on the pop charts with "Bills, Bills, Bills" off their second album. The recording also featured another smash hit, "Say My Name."

4: COTTON EYED JOE SONG "Cotton Eyed Joe" is a popular American folk song known at various times throughout the United States and Canada, although today it is most commonly associated with the American South (Texas). "Cotton Eyed Joe" has inspired both a partner dance and more than one line dance that is often danced at country dance venues in the US and around the world.

5: DALE WATSON SOLO ARTIST Dale Watson was born in Alabama in 1962. He started writing his own songs at age 12 and made his first record deal 2 years later. After graduating from high school, he spent seven years playing local clubs and honky tonks. He moved to Texas about 20 years ago with his wife Chelsey.

6: EMPIRE STATE OF MIND SONG "Empire State of Mind" is a song sang by Jay Z and Alisha Keys. In the song it says "driving Bee Caves in Texas".

7: BOWLING FOR SOUP BAND Bowling for Soup is a band from Denton, Texas. Some of their songs are "Almost" and "1985."

8: SELENA GOMEZ AND THE SCENE BAND Selena Gomez & the Scene is an American pop band formed in Hollywood, California in 2008. Along with lead singer and founder Selena Gomez born in Dallas, the band consists of guitarist Ethan Roberts, bassist Joey Clement, drummer Greg Garman, and keyboardist Dane Forrest.

9: HILL COUNTRY CHOIR BAND | Hill Country Choir has four groups, Beginning choir, Concert Choir, Varsity Choir, and Mens Ensemble Choir. Every year they have at least 7 different types of concerts. They also have 2 competitions,UIL and All District.The choir teachers are Ms.Gerber and Mrs.Bratton | Beginning Choir | Men's Ensemble | Concert Choir | Varsity Choir(Treble Chorale)

10: ALL MY EX'S LIVE IN TEXAS SONG "All My Ex's Live In Texas" is the title of a song recorded by country singer George Strait. It was released in April 1987 as the second single from Strait's album, Ocean Front Property.He sings about how he loves Texas so much!

11: JACK INGRAM SOLO ARTIST Jack Ingram was born November 15, 1970 in Houston. He toured around the bars and roadhouses of Texas with his Beat Up Ford band, and landed a regular Tuesday night gig at the honky-tonk club Adair's.

13: LONG CENTER MUSIC VENUE The Long Center is an important achievement for Austin.It will help define the character of the Austin community for generations to come. The Long Center for the Performing Arts will be an important entertainment center for Central Texas. Its design, location, and generous support combine to create an exciting cultural and economic resource for Austin. The Long Center will contribute to the economic future of Central Texas, playing a role in the recruitment of new corporations and employees to our area, revitalizing downtown,increasing tourism, educational opportunities, and further boosting Austin’s image as one of the nations best cities.

14: BOB MARLEY FEST MUSIC FEST Every year Bob Marley fest (A.K.A. Reggae Fest) raises about $200,000 to assist the Capital Area Food Bank to fight hunger in Central Texas.

15: WILLIE NELSON SOLO ARTIST Willie Nelson is a singer, songwriter, actor, and philanthropist. He was born on April 30, 1933, in Abbott, Texas. During his extensive career, Willie Nelson has written more than 2,500 songs and has released about 300 albums.

16: OLD SETTLERS MUSIC FEST MUSIC FEST Old Settler’s Music Festival is a nationally known music festival featuring the best in roots and Americana music. The festival is held in the gorgeous Texas hill country, at the height of the Bluebonnet and wildflower season. Old Settler’s Music Festival offers great music and activities for the whole family. The Festival is held at Salt Lick Pavilion and Camp Ben McCulloch, just minutes from Austin.

17: PECAN STREET FEST MUSIC FEST Twice a year, twenty-four blocks of 6th Street and downtown Austin are transformed into the annual Pecan Street Festival. With more than 300 artists, three stages of live music, a wide variety of ethnic and regional food, children’s workshops and more, the Pecan Street Festival has been a family tradition for thirty-three years.

18: STUBB'S BAR-B-Q MUSIC VENUE In the 1970s, Stubb’s restaurant became the heart of an explosive music scene. Stubb's was ground zero for musicians like Joe Ely and Stevie Ray Vaughn. Other famous musicians who would “play for their supper” included Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Robert Cray, George Thorogood, Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown, Linda Ronstadt and the Fabulous Thunderbirds. Stubb’s Restaurant is always filled with good friends, great music and plenty of Stubb’s Legendary Bar-B-Q.

19: RAY BENSON SOLO ARTIST Ray Benson Siefert was born March 16, 1951. His plan was to form a real live Western swing band, influenced by the likes of fellow-gonzo-swinger Commander Cody and his Lost Planet Airmen. After drifting through Washington, D.C., and San Francisco, the band landed in heart of Bob Wills country: Austin, Texas, in the early '70s.

20: SXSW MUSIC FEST The first South by Southwest Music Conference and Festival (SXSW) was held in 1987 in Austin, Texas.The SXSW Music Festival has about 80 stages -- most are downtown and many within walking distance of the Austin Convention Center.

21: TEXAS OUR TEXAS SONG "Texas, Our Texas," the official state song of Texas, was adopted by the Legislature in 1929 after being selected in a state-wide competition. It was composed by William J. Marsh of Fort Worth. The lyrics were written by Marsh and Gladys Yoakum Wright. The song is comprised of three verses and a chorus.

22: UT ORCHESTRA BAND The UT Symphony Orchestra (UTSO) is quickly becoming recognized as one of the top college orchestras in the nation. They have been featured since 2007 as part of The International Festival-Institute at Round Top's yearly "August to April Series," and in 2008 the group performed at The Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas, Texas. In 2009 they performed to wide acclaime at the Texas Music Educator's Association convention in San Antonio, Texas. Students in UTSO have had the opportunity to work with noted musicians such as Jennifer Higdon, John Adams, William Bolcom and Claude Baker, in addition to featured appearances with UT's world-renowned faculty of soloists and composers.

23: STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN SOLO ARTIST Stephen Ray Vaughan was born October 3, 1954 at Methodist Hospital in Dallas, Texas to parents Jim and Martha Vaughan. In 1961 Stevie received his first guitar. He described it as "A plastic toy, with only three strings." Under the guidance of his brother Jimmie, Stevie's talent began to form in to the legendary guitar player he is known as today.
