2: B is for Butte a isolated hill with steep sides | Fun Fact: There are a lot of buttes in the Arizona desert

3: C is for Channel a bed of a stream or river

4: D is for Desert | A desert is a barren dry area like the Sahara Desert

5: E is for escarpment | a steep slope or long cliff | Fun fact: In the movie Up an escarpment is the land form they land on

6: F is for flood plain | A flood plain is a flat area near rivers or steams

7: G is for Glacier a large piece of ice slowly moving | Fun fact: Glaciers made the great lakes and rivers | Famous: like glacier bay in Alaska

8: H is for Highlands | is Sydney's tallest free-standing structure, and the second tallest in Australia (with the Q1 building on the Gold Coast being the tallest). It is also the second tallest observation tower in the Southern Hemisphere (after Auckland's Sky Tower, though Sydney Tower Eye's main observation deck is almost 50 m (164 ft) higher than that of Auckland's Sky Tower). The Sydney Tower is a member of the World Federation of Great Towers. | An area of high or mountainous land | Like the Scottish Highlands

12: L is for Lagoon | A lagoon is a shallow body of water separated from a larger body of water | like the Motu Toopua in Bora Bora

13: M is for Marsh a A marsh is a type of freshwater, brackish water | like the ones in the Everglades which is in South Flordia

14: N is for Mountain a large natural elevation | Like Mount Everest the tallest mountain in the world | Fun fact: Mount Everest reaches 29,029 feet

15: O is for Ocean a very large expanse of salt water | Fun Fact: 97% of water on the earth is salt

16: P is for Peninsula a land form surrounded by water on three sides | Fun Fact:Florida is also a peninsula one of over 1,000 in the world

17: Q is for Aquifer a underground water source

18: R is for Reef a a reef is a rock, sandbar, or other feature lying beneath the surface of the water | Like the Great Barrier Reef in Australia it is 1,250 mi. long

19: S is for Sound, a narrow stretch of land connecting two wider areas of land | Like the Long Island Sound in Connecticut that goes out to the Atlantic

20: T is for Tundra is the coldest of all the biomes.where the tree growth is hindered by the freezing temperatures | Alaska is a Tundra, Fun Fact: Alaska considering it's almost always winter they're longest day is shorter than Minnesota's and others.

21: U is for plateaU it is an area of highland, usually consisting of flat terrain.

22: V is for Volcano is an opening, or rupture, in a planet's surface or crust, which allows hot magma, volcanic ash and gases to escape | Fun fact: The islands of Hawaii were made by volcanic eruptions

23: W is for Waterfall it is a place where water flows over a cliff or hill | Fun Fact: The biggest waterfall is Victoria Falls it unloads 300,000 gallons of water a year

24: Y is for geyser a spring of hot water ejected into the air | in yellowstone national park the most famous geyser sits there called old Faithful it blows every 30 min at 204 degrees Fahrenheit
