1: In our situation a fox has jumped off a diving board so we need to find the time when the fox reaches the height of 2ft, 6ft, and 8ft.

2: This is our fox. The diving board from which he started is two feet above the water. The time it took the fox to go from the diving board and hit the water was 2.3 seconds. When the fox reaches his highest point he is 8.7 feet above the water.

4: using the equation on the right i will plug in... h=0 x=2.3 (for time) ho=2 (for initial height)

5: h=-16x+(vo)x+ho

7: h=-16x+(vo)x+ho | ... | 0=-16(2.3)+(vo)(2.3)+2

8: We plugged in 0 for h because we needed to find the velocity (vo) and by plugging in 0 it sets it equal to the water level. The velocity of the fox is 15.130

10: to find when the fox reaches 2ft i will replace h with 2 and time will become x again. | the fox reaches 2ft at 0 seconds because thats where he started and 2.241

12: now, to find 6 feet.

13: the time it reaches 6ft is 1.263seconds and 2.18

14: the fox with reach 8ft at 1.429 and again at 2.114.
