1: About the author Eric Bovee is a student in I.S 318. His favorite animal is an orca. His favorite sport is football. He is an honor roll student.

2: Population of the orca worldwide is unknown. Endangered in Oregon and Washington. Orcas live to 30 to 50 years. The orca can grow up to 23 to 27 feet.

3: Orcas weigh 3 to 11 tons. Orcas are social animals and they live in families called pods. Orcas are the largest dolphin in the planet.

4: It is more common in the arctic circle and British Columbia and pacific U.S. But they live in all the oceans.

5: Pollution kills most of the Orcas. Some national parks have orcas. Olympic National Park. 3 out of 4 national parks that have oracs are in alaska.
