FC: Ancient India | By Lane Clark

The first people who reached India were from Africa they knew that it would be a great place because there were rivers such as the Indus and Gangus Rivers where they could grow better crops and fish.

Their resources for a house was clay bricks they made these bricks by the river then they let them dry for seven days. Each person would get their own well and they made an underground sewer! I didn't think that they would be that smart to think of something like that. They were also right by the Indus River which was perfect for fishing, water, and water for growing crops.

The most reliable people were the farmers they were the ones who all the people in the town or city were counting on. The farmers were to grow crops for the village there was also some more important people that were in India that were not farmers. Like the merchants or a scribe that would count food money and other stuff.

The people who would be in charge of the colony would be the Chief. Later developments there was a King or a Emperor also called a Brahman. If there is a tiny village then their would be a chief now if there was a giant city then there was a King or another word would be a Emperor. They also would have many beliefs in each city and town.

Many villages believed in Monarchy is someone that is a ruler of the government. And they also went for Republic they stood by elected representatives or in other words would be that all the people would vote on two things. Then whichever one had the most votes won and would be picked to do.

There also was the Brahmans those were the priests and scholars they were the religious teachers they were one of the most powerful people. Then there were the Kshatriyas they were the warriors, chieftains. They were the second group of the most powerful leaders of the city or town. After them their was the Vaishyas they were the merchants, farmers and the landowners they were quite not as powerful as the Kshatriyas. Then their came the Shudras they were the land laborers ,craftsman they were the least people to get much money. Than the merchants or the landowners they were not that famous or powerful than the two

groups ahead of them .After them came the Outcasts/Untouchables they were the executioners of criminals, scavengers, undertakers, people thrown out or been pushed out of there class and now are at the very bottom of the classes.

Starting with the Merchants their job was that they would go to like a festival and sell pottery there and sell some different stuff also. Then their came the Priests they would help the King or chief with decisions of his plans. After the Priest came the Scribes they would write on tablets or pieces of paper they would also keep track of what food they had how much money and warriors. The Warriors were next they had to fight many battles and saved a lot of people from dieing in their city.
