2: Gorillas are part of the ape family.
3: Gorillas are mammals. Other examples of mammals are cats, dogs, and humans.
4: Gorillas are very intelligent.
5: There are nine species of gorillas.
6: There are two different families of the gorillas. The Gibbons and the Great Apes.
7: Gibbons are the smallest apes. | Great Apes have long arms. They are larger and smarter than gibbons.
8: Gorillas are the biggest and most powerful of all the apes.
9: Most gorillas give birth to one infant. They have about three babies in their lifetime.
10: Gorillas eat leaves, shoots, and fruits.
11: A leopard will attack and kill a baby gorilla.
12: Gorillas live in groups in the mountains in Africa.
