2: Summary | The summer that Scout is six and Jem is ten they meet Dill, a little boy who spent the summer with his aunt who lived by the Finches. They spend the summer trying to get Boo Radley, the neighborhood recluse, to come out of his house. They go through plan after plan to come up with a way to get him out of his house. Their father Atticus, a local lawyer, takes on a case that that her know he will lose, when a black man, Tom Robinson, is accused of raping a white girl. Scout learns during that summer that all people are people and none are lesser or better than other.

Resolution: Finally, after many schemes, Boo comes out to help the save the children when they are about to be attacked. Internal Conflict: Atticus is faced with the issure of racism and choosing to do the right thing.

Since the publication of To Kill a Mockingbird in 1960, Lee has contributed to a few nonfiction writing to some national magazines, but nothing to the magnitude of To Kill AMockingbird.
