BC: I enjoyed this book i would recommend it to anyone who likes Edgar Allan Poe. One of the reasons i like this book is because after reading it i feel like i know Edgar Allan Poe.

FC: Poe A Critical Study A Book Report by Byron Daniel

1: Author Edward H. Davidson Setting Past Late1800`S

2: Edgar Allan Poe is a tortured young man. Who was sent to live with his aunt and uncle after his mothers death. He fell in love for the first time at age seventeen. She was much older than Poe so the relationship did not last. Only a few years into college Poe blew his tuition on alchohol. Poe married his younger cousin who soon died of tuberculosis. Her death drove Poe deeper into depression and alchoholism where he stayed till the day he died.

4: Characters Edgar Allan Poe: A tortured man who uses traumatizing events lead him to write poetry Theme There are many different ways to handle situations some are good and some are bad

5: Conflicts The conflict in this story is that every woman he ever loved has left him in one way or another Resolution There are two different resolutions in this story. The good resolution is his poetry writing. The bad resolution is he resorts to alchohol.
