FC: Nervous System
I'm going to the you about the nervous system. This will include information about cerebrum, cerebellum, medulla oblongota, nueron, and the spinal cord. I will explain how each function works and what it does to help our bodies.
Cerebrum is Latin for "brain". It is the largest part of the brain as a whole. It occupies most of the cranial cavity. This part of the brain functions your imagination, reason, emotion, memory, perception, thought, judgment and decisions. The cerebrum is located in the front of you brain. The left side of your brain controls the right side of your brain controls the left side of your body.
 Cerebellum | number 2 = cerebellum
Cerebellum is the Latin word for little brain. The cerebellum does not indicate movement, but it contributes to coordination, precision, and accurate timing. It receives input from sensory systems and from other parts of the brain and spinal cord. Damage to the cerebellum does not cause paralysis, but instead produces disorders in fine movement, equilibrium, posture, and motor learning.
 s p i n a l | c o r d
The spinal cord is a long tubular bundle of nervous tissue and support cells that extends from the medulla oblongata. The brain and the spinal cord together make up the central nervous system. The human spinal cord is protected by the bony spinal column.
 medulla oblongata
The Medulla Oblongata is the lower part of the brain stem. The Medulla Oblongata functions the cardiac, vomiting, respiratory, and vasomotor centers and deals with automatic functions such as breathing, blood rate and heart pressure. Blood to the Medulla is supplied by a number of arteries.
A neuron is an electrically excitable cell that processes and transmits information by electrical and chemical signaling. Neurons are the core components to the nervous system, which includes the brain, spinal cord and peripheral ganglia. A typical neuron possesses a cell body, dendrites, and an axon.
things that affect your body- drugs and alcohol: they are substance abuse and they kill your brain cell and can cause some cancers. cigarettes: when you smoke it causes you to have breathing troubles and your lungs will be black and shriveled.
The brain sends messages to the rest of the body telling them what to do. Things the brain says are like telling you hands to grab something or telling your legs to walk. Our right brain controls the left side of the body and the left brain controls the right side of the body.
