Now the population of bushwick is Latina and african american, most of latino living in bushwick is dominican and purto rican | History

5: On july 13, 1977, bushwick was in far worse condition thet it had been 1969 on thet fateful night and the following day, houdreds of bushwick stores were looted, many were destroy permanently and fire burned evreywhere. one third of the stores closed afther the blockout and a year later 43 % were vacant. an arson fire in abandoned factory at knickerbocker and bleecker destroyed 4 Blocks and 45 homes, the second worst fire in the history on new york. | Fire and blockout
