1: July 17, 1492 I am very happy to be going on this marvelous trip. I only plan to be gone for 6 months at sea. I know for a fact that I will miss my friends, family and life back home. I really wish I could bring my family along with me; even though I only plan to be gone for a short period of time I do not want to take any chances of them getting hurt or sick, so I can't ask them to come along. I went to town the other day where I made an arrangement with some men to have all of our food and equipment already on board for when we depart. I plan to take many crew members on this voyage. King Ferdinand will be paying for all the expenses. I will be taking three ships, The Santa Maria, The Nina and The Pinta, they are small ships but they will get us there. I cant wait till i set sail to find a quick route to Asia. Christopher Columbus

2: August 17, 1492 It's been exactly one month since the crew and i departed from Spain.I been at sea for one month and i still feel very energetic and calm while on this voyage, as well as the crew. i hope to only be at sea for five more months, give or take a few days or weeks. while on this voyage, two of the crew members has fallen ill, and the doctor said all we can do is HOPE and PRAY. While on this voyage, the crew and i have been managing how we eat so that our supplies doesn't run low. We have enough food, ammunition, water, and weapons for months to come, but i want to make sure we have extra if for some reason we are at sea longer than expected. i have seen marvelous sunsets during the past month and i have seen amazing creatures as well, this voyage is exactly how i envisioned it, there are days when i do feel homesick, and wont to turn this ship around and head back home. I have met so many exciting people while on this ship. -Christopher Columbus

3: November 17, 1492 I been at sea for five months now, I believe we have reached India and I am so anxious to see what this place has in stored for My crew and I. I see a lot of trees, water, and animals everywhere. The crew has been very tired lately and I can tell that they miss their loved ones. So far I haven't met anyone or seen anyone around here yet but I’m pretty sure that I will see people soon. I plan to set up a camp somewhere by a stream or river. I can't wait to go back home to tell everyone how great this trip was. I only plan to be here for a few weeks that way I will have enough time to make it home. While being out here in the open I hope to find some gold. The crew has been so helpful and with the death of two fellow crew members they still manage to keep a smile on their faces.
