1: What are they and what are they used for? "Concentration Camps" The camps were for Jews,Gypsies and other groups that were discriminated against by the Germans. They included Blacks, Homosexuals, and political Dissidents

2: A teachers guide to the holocaust | The ghettos were city's where Jews were forced to live under miserable conditions and lasted for days, weeks, months and even years. They were usually made up of barracks and were constructed in the neighborhood that was being targeted by the Germans.

4: SOME OF THE SIMILARITYS AND DIFFERENCES OF THE CONCENTRATION CAMPS | There were many different types of camps. Some were used for forced labor while others were used only to kill the prisoners (Webber). However you never knew if you were going to be killed or worked. The most famous of these was the camp known as Auschwitz (Webber).

5: In many of the camps the gassing chambers were the main way to kill the prisoners. Some camps used what they called gas vans which took prisoners that couldn't go on to places that would inject them with a poison to kill them or, with some, would have a glass between the driver and prisoners and when the air went to the prisoners and the gas killed them in the van (ushmm.org).

7: How many were there? | There twenty-two main concentration camps. In addition to the main twenty-two there were over 1,200 connected camps and Kommandos in German-affiliated Poland and Germany. (Larsen &Vogelsang)

8: There were six extermination camps. Their only purpose was to kill Jews. Three million were killed here. (Larsen & Vogelsang) | Germany had the most concentration camps. They had over the ten thousands. (Larsen & Vogelsang)

9: Which country had the most and why? | Germany, the Soviet Union, and annexed Poland had the most established ghettos. There were over thousands of ghettos. The most in any of Germ-occupied Europe. ("Ghettos")

10: The largest ghetto was Warsaw. located in Poland. ("Ghettos")
