22: Young Arthur Retold By: Robert D. San Souci
23: Summary- In the story Young Arthur, a man named Kay is preparing for a jousting match when he realizes that his apprentice Arthur, had forgotten his sword. In a rush to find Kay's sword Arthur sees a sword standing out of a bolder. He decides to pull this sword out of the stone with little struggle. Little did Arthur know that the one who pulled this sword from the stone was to be declared the true King of Britain. Arthur was destined to be King. | Reflection- How does the story Young Arthur relate to me? Arthur and I both possess the qualities of strength and courage. After Arthur pulls the sword from the stone, he is afraid to admit that he was the on who did it because he is afraid what the outcome might be. Arthur does what is right though and tells he had done it. Once i found 20 dollars on the floor at Dick's Sporting goods. Instead of keeping it I took to the front desk and it turns out that a little kid had dropped it. Arthur and I both believe in building up the courage to do the right thing even though it can be hard.
