FC: Anasazi, Iroquois & Incas

Inca | Anasazi | Iroquois | BY: Rylee Corcoran

Anasazi means “ancient outsiders,” they lived in the farming time, they employed a large variety of hight-yield crops with low rain fall. Their pottery and baskets are still highly admired by collectors today. They dug deep pits in the living quarters that served as temples for them. Sleeping areas were built in the side of the cliffs. Water was gathered through cracks in the wall. There cities survived over 800 years of exposure and are still standing with no care, when ours fall in short time with no care.

 Anasazi

 Inca

A Spanish Conquistador landed in Peru in 1532 he found the Inca Empire and it was full of gold and riches, their temples were even made of gold. The Empire was the largest at the time controlling more than 10 million people. The Inca’s had a great message system a letter could be sent 1200 miles in a week by runners that got 150 miles a day.

The name Iroquois refers more to the language than thew particular trade. The Iroquois are actually 5 tribe not just one. The five tribes devoted a lot of time and energy to fighting each other, until the 1500’s. After they started working together they still didn't stop the war between them, they still captured people from the other tribes and from the Europeans.
