1: One book that tells the horrible tale of his life is Deviant: The Shocking True Story of Ed Gein, The Original Psycho by: Harold Schechter. This book is a biography of Ed Gein's life and the horrible crimes he commited. | Ed Gein. The very name send shivers up many peoples spines. He has commited many unspeakable crimes that would make most people vomit if they heard of them. What made him do these unthinkable crimes, you may ask? Nobody knows for sure, but many people believe it might have been the death of his mother.

2: Ed Gein was born on August 27, 1906 in Lacrosse, Wisconsin. He had one older brother named Henry George Gein and his parents' names were George and Augusta Gein. Even though Augusta hated her husband, they remained married because of their religious beliefs. As Ed was growing up, his mother forbade him to make friends.

3: Ed and his older brother were the perfect target for bullies. Ed Gein's mother abused him and his brother because she thought that they were going to be failures like their father. Ed did not leave his parents' property unless he was going to school.

4: Soon after Ed's dad died i 1944, henry began to reject how their mother views things in the world. This irritated ed very much. because he still loved his mother very much.

5: During 1944, there was a brush fire close to the farm. Supposedly Henry got separated from Ed as they went to put it out. Ed told the authorities when he could not find henry. then, he led them straight to Henry's dead,beaten body. Even though there were bruises on his head, the police declared that he had died of asphyxiation.

6: The next year, Gein's mother died of a series of strokes. Shortly after her death, Gein decided that he wanted a sex change. He started to make a "Woman Suit" so that he could pretend to be female. he got the skins and body parts from recently buried dead females, and in some cases, he killed the women himself.

7: One of the women that he killed was named Bernice Worden. When the authoroties questioned him about it, he said"It must have been someone pretty cold-blooded."that just proves that he was insane | this was the hardware store owned by Bernice and her husband
