2: Geography | The Elizabethan Era was around 1558-1603 in central Europe. It was a very violent time where people were very superstitious. It was also considered a golden age in English history.
4: There were two major religions in Elizabethan England, Protestant and Catholic. During this time, people were very superstitious. They strongly believed in witches and witchcraft. Many old, poor, widowed or single women were falsely accused of being a witch. | Religion
7: Achievements | Many achievements occurred during this era, There were many famous women during this time. Their were also many authors and play writers, like William Shakespeare. There were also many inventions, like the printing press. These new ideas and information provided knowledge about science, technology and astronomy.
9: Politics | Punishments for crimes during this time were very violent, for example the death penalty was highly used. The queen at this time was Queen Elizabeth.
11: Economy | The money was all coined. They didn't use paper, they only used gold and silver. Food was a symbol of economic and social status. There were starvation in some areas.
12: Society | During this time status was very important. There were different social classes. There were nobles, knights, and politicians. Women had few rights and were expected to obey men. The job occupations varied, some jobs were more difficult than others.
14: William Shakespeare's life | William Shakespeare was born on April 23, 1564 in Stratford-Upon-Avon and was baptized on April 26, 1564. His father, John Shakespeare, was a gloved and leather merchant. His mother landed local heiress. William Shakespeare was the 3rd of 8 children. It is unknown how long he attended school for, but he studied Latin and classical Greek.
15: Shakespeare later on married Anne Hathaway. Rumors spread concerning their relationship because Anne was pregnant before they were married. They had three children together, Susanna, Judith, and Hamnet. When Hamnet was 11 he passed away. William lived in London and Stratford-Upon-Avon for most of his life. Anne Hathaway died in August of 1623. Shakespeare died in 1616 when he was 52. It is a mystery on how he died.

17: Shakespeare was famous for many things. He was a play writer, a poet, and a actor. He wrote 37 to 40 plays, but no one can be sure. He also wrote 154 sonnets. He wrote a large variety of plays. He wrote historical, humorous and tragic plays. These plays include Richard||, Henry V|, The Winters Tale, As You Like It, Romeo and Juliet, and Hamlet. | Although William Shakespeare wrote beautiful plays, he did borrow his ideas from others. He created Romeo and Juliet by borrowing the plot of the poem called the Tragical History of Romeus and Juliet by Arthur Brooke.
18: Persona | My name is Gianna, I am 21 years old, and I am a Duchess. I have two lovely children, a 5 year old girl, and a 7 year old boy. I am close friends with Lady Capulet. Every Sunday we meet for lunch at either my house or hers, and our chefs make us a fine meal. We also see each other during the day once and a while in town. During the say I make many appearances at important meetings and events. I am very wealthy due to my husband’s occupation as a Dutch. I am 5”3' and weigh 115 Lbs. I have brown hair and blue eyes. I am very nice, outgoing and polite. I am beautiful, short, and young. I speak with gestures in a soft yet beautiful voice. I wore the best clothing in town, my clothing symbolizes my wealth. My home is as large as a castle, yet a perfect size for me and my loving family. My chef cooks the best meals a person could ask for. We eat a lot because our wealth can show. My husband is very intelligent, he can read and write. Yet I am not as intelligent. I pick up a couple of things from my husband, and I can read most things, but I did not attend school. Women do not attend school. It is not a law, it just is.
