1: Abigail Pictures

3: John Adams, the second President, was married to Abigail. Abagail was the mother of the sixth President, John Quincy Adams. We know many of Abigail’s personal thoughts from her letters.

4: Abigail was born in Massachusetts. Her dad and her ancestors were ministers, in a time where religion was respected more. Abigail was home schooled and she loved to read from her own family's large library. She formed opinions about womens rights and government, which helped make America what it is now.

5: Abigail had 5 kids. 3 boys and 2 girls. Her husband was away a lot as a judge, so she had to care for her home and children- family, he was then away longer as a delegate of the Continental Congress. This time period is where most of her letters where written.

6: She was the wife of the first US minister of Great Britain and then the wife of the vice president, and finally the wife of the first President. Once her husband retired from public service they spent as much time together as possible to make up the time they spent apart. Abigail died of Typhoid fever in 1818, 7 years before her son became president.

7: In a letter to her husband while he was at the constitutional convention she reminded him that when they are passing out rights to not forget women.

9: Margaret Brent was born around 1601, and she died 1671.

10: She was the first women in the new world to request the right to vote. She requested one vote for her self as a land owner and one vote as an attorney representing someone. | She was born in England and moved to the new world during England's civil war. No one knowswhat she did in the 37 years before moving to the new world.

11: Margaret saved the settlement of Maryland after she got power of attorney from the man in charge when he was dying. The soldiers were going to mutiny because they weren't paid so she sold the cattle from another man that gave her power of attorney to pay the soldiers. | Margaret Brent.

12: Anne Bradstreet | She was the first female poet ever published in England and America. She was well educated and knew several languages.. She wrote about politics, medicine, history and God.

13: Anne was born in England in 1612. Her father and husband were governors for the Massachusetts Bay Colony. She was married at 16 years old. She came to America in 1630 amd had her first child in 1632. She had 8 children in all. Her father and her husband helped found Harvard university. 2 of her sons graduated Harvord. Harvored dteicated a gate to her as the first published American author
