4: Secret Garden and Rose Planters
5: In Downtown Childersburg, between Gerri's Gifts and The Print Shop is the Secret Garden. In May 2010, FBLA members helped the Childersburg City Council in an afternoon of beautifying our downtown area. We helped prune rosebushes, replant trees and flowering bushes in the garden. We then helped plant the rose and ivy plants in the planters located in various places Downtown.

9: With the help of Close to My Heat Scrapbook Consultant and CHS teacher, Stephanie Brooks, FBLA members met one day after school in August to create handmade birthday cards for the teachers and staff at CHS. | Birthday Cards for CHS Teachers | Members who helped make cards were Hailey Alexander, Heather Butts and Katy Osbourn and are pictured above.
10: Scrapbook Workshop
11: In August FBLA hosted a Scrapbook Workshop for all the clubs and organizations at Childersburg High School. Again with the help of Stephanie Brooks, Close To My Heart Scrapbooking Consultant, we provided materials and patterns for each club that attended to create a two page layout. They were able to individualize the page to their organization.
12: Each year members get together to play a tournament of Monopoly to celebrate American Enterprise Day. While playing Monopoly we learn that buying houses and other things we might need in life is not just fun and games. | American Enterprise Day Celebration
14: Volleyball Concession Stand
15: At home volleyball games this season, FBLA ran a Concession Stand. We sold various snacks and drinks. We donated half the profits to the Lady Tigers Volleyball Team to help buy equipment and uniforms.
16: CHS FBLA sponsored the Cornbread Cookoff at Coosa Fest 2010. 21: Key Club and FBLA joined together to decorate the stage in the CHS Lunchroom for Christmas.. Working together we put up the tree, placed the gifts around it, made the banner and arranged the back panels and garland while listening to great modern Christmas music.
23: Professional Dress Days | FBLA sponsored several Professional Dress Days this year. We used the National FBLA Dress Code as a guideline.
24: To celebrate Career Technical Education month, FBLA hosted the Childersburg Chamber of Commerce's February Coffee. | Chamber Coffee
25: After our guests left, we got to sample the buffet.
26: Monthly Meetings At our monthly meetings, a variety of topics were discussed. At this meeting we played charades to show how non verbal communication could make or break a business deal.
28: Each year FBLA partners with Heritage South Federal Credit Union to bring the business students MAD CITY MONEY. MCM is a real life simulation of budgeting for a family. Each student was given a portfolio of a career, children, and even obligations including student loans and medical insurance. Students had to visit booths staffed by FBLA members and plan their month's spending. They had to provide groceries, housing, child care, clothing, entertainment, house furnishings, and transportation
