1: Ghana, officially the republic of Ghana, is a West African country that borders the Gulf of Guinea. There are different geological features in different parts of the country. South, near the coast, is a low sandy area with many rivers and streams as well as plains and scrub. Northern Ghana has high plains.The climate is tropical dry with wet and dry seasons.
2: In 2010 there was an estimate of over 24,000,000 Ghanaians. The official language is English. Most people in Ghana are Christian. They enjoy spots mainly soccer and boxing.
3: Ghana was made a parliamentary democracy when it gained its independence. Ghana has ten administrative regions and 170 districts.The current president is John Dramani Mahama.
4: There are many problems in Ghana like poverty, little drinking water, and sanitation. Another issue people face in Ghana are HIV/AIDS. In 2002 nearly 260,000 people were living with HIV/AIDS, and 21,000 deaths occurred because of it. Recently the numbers have gone down considerably but is still a problem.
