FC: George Perkovich Poems by Me
Combo Poem (On virtue and white on white) O thou bright jewel in my aim I strive, To comprehne thee. Thine own words declars, Besides her, two mystics vow, this is not the coming of light, But, o my soul, sink not into despair, virtue is near thee, and with gentle hand, to any man, is only he will embrace it, or leave me not the false joys of time, or white blossoms at the hand of god, greatness, or goodness, say what i shall call thee, to enflod this darkness, this grief, wisdom is higher than a fool can reach
Ernest Lawrence Thayer the author of Casey at the bat and U2 the band the author of Sunday Bloody Sunday are different in many ways. Ernest was a writer for the New York Journal when he wrote the poem he turned it in into the newspaper and didn't take credit for it. Unlike U2 who wrote Sunday Bloody Sunday and recieved instant success and lot of money. The song was about a historical event unlike casey at the bat which was fictonal the song was not. The song was talking about a incident that took place in north Ireland when 26 civil right protesters were shot by British soldiers. "And its true we are immune, when fact is fiction and tv reality, and today the millions cry, we eat and drink while tomorrow they die". From Casey at the bat, " And somewhere men are laughing, and little children shout; But there is no joy in mudville--mighty Casey has struck out.
Mrs.D Mrs. D why won't you be, here tommorrow im my great sorrow, because you won't be with me, Because everyone needs Mrs.D, 450 is pretty beast, I can do like 200 atleast, Mrs. D, Mrs. D, why won't you be here with us doing the things our class do!
The mrs. D poem uses Intermittent rhyme scheme and end rhyme. There is one couplet in the poem as well but, most is intermittent.
Baseball The smell of the grass The softness of wet dirt The vision of all your teammates The look of fear, As i am on the mound, Confidence coming from it Is it a ball or strike? Its got to be a strike...it's me, 1,2,3, they can touch gjp
My baseball poem using blank verse poem. The poem has no rhyming and iambic pentameter. The poem was writen because i enjoy pitching more than any other thing i do. It is a big part of my life.
Light A yellow glow, from the dark room, it assist you through, until you reach the room, You find yourself feeling comfort, For the yellow glom helped you through.
Doom Where would the world be, If every country was not here, If every country used their technology, Point them against each other, Not listening or hearing to what others say, The world peace is not in their vocab, What if the world was not here.
