BC: The End

FC: William Mueting | Global Warming: Real or Not?

Global warming: Increase of average temperature on the earths surface. Why is this a problem to us you may ask? The theory of what will occur is that the ozone layer will diminish letting more UV rays to the earths surface. This may cause the ice to melt, and the oceans to rise. Therefore, water will overwhelm beaches worldwide making the water come into cities. But remember, this is all just a theory.

Global warming is possibly in our world today. There are many reasons I believe this terrifying phenom is among us all. Wikipedia claims that from the decades from 1979, the air temperature has rose twice as fast as the water temperature. EDF.org states that between 1961 and 1997 that the earth lost 890 cubic miles of ice. NASA has concluded that since the early 1800's, the global average increase for temperature has risen from .7 degrees Fahrenheit to 1.4 degrees Fahrenheit. This points to global warming and many people feel we need to press the urgency of the situation.

Al Gore stated his thoughts on environmental change when he said, "What changed in the United States with Hurricane Katrina was a feeling that we have entered a period of consequences." Arnold Schwarzenegger also feels very confident in his position on the debate when he proclaimed, "We simply must do everything we can in our power to slow down global warming before it is too late. The science is clear. The global warming debate is over." John McCain delivered his thoughts during the presidential elections when he implied, "Our nation has both an obligation and self-interest in facing head-on the serious environmental, economic and national security threat posed by global warming."

Global Warming awareness is also found coming out of our TV speakers at home. In Global Warming 101, it defies what will happen to the natural beauty in the world and the primary causes of the issue. This movie has a sentence that sums all of this up when they say, "If Global Warming is not handled upon correctly, the world may end incorrectly."

The books "Straight up" and "No Rain In The Amazon" both persuade the reader to join their side of thought by showing what has changed supposedly because of Global Warming. "No Rain In The Amazon" strikes gold when the author says that forests in South America are being cut down causing what he calls,"A Carbon Bomb." "Straight Up" turns the situation into a more positive perspective claiming that "global warming may be a chance to change our society into a more ecological world."

Global warming: One of the most well known Theories in our world today. Much of what you hear about global warming is not scientifically proven to be a real possible threat. Many people believe that global warming is a hoax because it provokes fear into peoples’ everyday lives. If you have fear in someone, they will have power over you.

According to Wikipedia, The Global Warming theory surfaced when a British News team lead by Hamish Mykura delivered its thoughts on a theory that the temperature was rising due to the global warming effects. It was noted that this theory was just a minor newscast produced from a minority that pondered the idea. Basically it was just a publicity stunt.

A family is pieced together with hope and faith. A family is quilted and bound with love and grace.
