1: Alternative Fuel Reasoning!! Alternative Fuel is the future of our gas problems. Today all of our gas is petrolium based. This is running low causing high gas prices and fueling the race for alternative fuel. Some possible fules include biodeisel, liqified petrolium gas(LPG), liquified natural gas(LNG), Hydrogen and Electricity. We must have alternative fuel for transportation or else we will run out of the natural reasources to continue to live the way we do www.energyquest.ca.gov/transportation

2: Biodiesel- Biodiesel is a fuel made from vegetable oils and animal fats. The biodiesel can be mixed petroleum diesel, and can be used for fuel for diesel vehicles. Biodiesel is providing energy security and emissions and safety benefits. (http://www.afdc.energy.gov/afdc/fuels/biodiesel_what_is.html) Electricity- There are hybrid cars that can be plugged in a power grid. Cars that have electricity don’t have a tailpipe emissions (a pipe located in the rear of a motor vehicle ) http://www.afdc.energy.gov/afdc/fuels/electricity.html

3: Ethanol http://www. afdc.energy.gov/afdc/ethanol/index.html

4: In the investigation of alternative fuel we came into the project knowing that there was very little fuel in the planet now. Along with that we new that we need to stop wasting diesel and to change into natural products. We also new that in a couple of years there will be no more fuel in are world. We also new that the diesel pollutes are air and makes it harder to breath for every one in the world. Hundreds of cars use more then fuel then other cars and those cars pollote the air more. In this year we are certain that the gas prices went extremely higher in the price. In the situation of today it is the best time for having alternative fuel. There are many ways where alternative fuel could be useful. Today one of the many worries on peoples mind is the unpredictable gas prices. Everyone is always complaining over whether prices are higher or lower somewhere else. Today we have been forced to arrange and budget our lives because of the "pain at the pump" that high prices cause all drivers today. In January of 2001 gas was a low 1.50! Now seven years later the highest price of 2008 has been 4.10 in June with the lowest so far of 2.95 in January. By using alternative fuel we would save a lot of time and money that would be elsewhere spent on something that only harms our wallet even more. The switch to alternative fuel would be a major turning point for people of today. It would be the first step into the future. At this point, alternative fuel is one of our only options if we want to continue driving in the future. In today's pumps, gasoline is mostly based on black liquid called petroleum. This petroleum is only found in the ground, making it valuable due to the fact that we need it so much for our transportation needs. However, petroleum id not an unlimited resource, it is going to run out and we need to figure out what we will use when that happens. Some forms of alternative fuel that are already available include Biodiesel (made from animal fats and vegetable oils) Electricity (running using a power grid), Natural Gas (domestically produced alternative fuel that produces lower fuel emissions), and Hydrogen. While those are available today they are much too expensive for the general public at this point. Many other alternatives to fuel are currently under development. With the knowledge of are investigation we can acknowledge that using alternative fuel is better then regular diesel. We could use this investigation by testing are claim by making different alternative fuel. To further are investigation we could see what different cars can go with each alternative fuel and to see if some cars are impossible to have alternative fuels. Some of the simplest alternative fuels are hydrogen and biodiesel.
