5: Yoakum Park is located in Denver City Texas. The park is a great spot for camping and it even has an RV park. This park has a playground and a golf course! It is located on a river too. Yoakum County Park is the place to go for family fun! | Yoakum County Park | recreational

6: The XIT Museum is a great museum located in Dalhart Texas. The museum has exhibits or the XIT ranching. They also have an art exhibit showing art from that time.The museum is a great place to go because it is free.Also it's open Tuesdays to Saturdays and is fun for the whole family. | Historical Importance | XIT Musem

7: Wortham Texas is located here in Texas. Wortham is best know for the motocross.Wortham is know for motocross because they have lots of motocross races there. In 1991 Wortham Texas only had 15 businesses. In Wortham 76.7% of the people are out of high school. Also 3.6% of the people have Graduated or have professional degree | Wortham | City

8: Volente Beach is located in Austin Texas.Volente is a fun five star waterpark. Volente is on Lake Travis and it uses the lake water to power all the rides.Volente is a fun place to go for the whole entire family. Volente even has its one little beach that is great for sandcastels. | Volente Beach | water

9: University of Dallas | The University of Dallas is located in Dallas here in Texas. The University of Dallas dates back to 1910 when the Vincentian Fathers founded it. Today the University accepts roughly 3,000 students from all over the world. 1,300 is the divided part of the students that are undergrads. 1,700 is the part of the school that are graduate students. | College

10: Mission Tejas is in Grapeland Taxas. The park was constructed by the Legislative Act from the Texas Forest Service. The park was built in 1934. Here you can hike, camp, and go fishing. This is a great place to go if you want to go outdoors and get active! | Misson Tejas | Historical Importance

11: Seminole Canyon | The Seminole Canyon is located in Comstock Texas. Man first set foot in this canyon 12,000 years ago! The walls of rock have drawings on them from long ago. Here you can hike, mountain bike, and camp here. This place is great for studying the life of the ancient people! | Landform

12: Water | Red Bluff Reservoir | Red bluff reservoirs located in Reeves co. here in Texas. Red bluff reservoir is on the Pecos river which at the Texas and New Mexico border. The reservoir provides irrigation and power for cites around. the reservoir gets its name from red bluffs along the river. The reservoir was also damed and the dam was completed in September 1936 .

13: Quintana Beach County Park is located in Brazoria County in Texas.The Park is also on a beachfrount. The park also has full paved RV campsites that are great for road trips. The park is a great place to birdwatch and swim. They also have great fishing night and day. | Recreation | Quintana Beach County Park

14: Palo Duro Canyon | Landform | Palo Duro Canyon is located 27 miles Southeast of Amarillo Texas. The canyon is 120 miles long and as much as 20 miles wide. The canyon in some parts is even 800 feet deep. Also the elevation at the rim is 3,500 feet above sea level. The canyon was formed by water erosion from the Prairie Dog Town Fork of the Red River.

15: Oak Creek Reservoir | Oak Creek Reservoir is located in Coak County, in Texas. The reservoir's Maximum depth is only 51 feet! The surface area is 2,375 acres. Also the reservoir is usually clear in the upper end but stained in the lower end. The Reservoir is also a great fishing spot full of all sorts of fish. | Water

16: N.A.S.A | Historical Importance | N.A.S.A is located in Houston Texas. N.A.S.A stands for National Aeronautics and Space Administration. N.A.S.A had their first launch in July 1950. then they put man on the moon in 1969. Now in 2011 N.A.S.A even has rovers on mars and one day hopes to put people on mars.

17: Mt. Bonnell is located in Austin Texas. The mountain looks over gorgeous lake Austin. You can also see the Penny Backer Bridge from way up there! If you go to the mountain when the day is ending you can watch the sun slowly go down over the horizon. Mount Bonnell is the place to go if you want to take great pictures of Austin. | Mount Bonnell

18: Lee College is located in Baytown Texas. Also Lee College was established in 1934. their first graduatation was on May 24, 1935. For their 1st semester they only had 177 students enroll. Today Lee College has about 7,000 students enroll each year. | Lee College | College

19: Kingwood College is located in Kingwood Texas. The college has 3,5000 students enrolled. In Kingwood the population is 25,000-75,000 people. Kingwood college is also nicknamed as The Lone Star College. Kingwood is a community college. | Kingwood college

20: Jasper Texas | Jasper Texas is in the coastal plains region of Texas. Jasper Texas has a population of 6,757 people. The majority of the people in Jasper Texas are married. The average age there is 38 years old. Jasper Texas is fairly small it is only 151.32 square miles. | City

21: Goose Island | Goose Island is located in the Gulf of Mexico right by Texas. Goose Island is 321.4 acres surrounded by water! The Big Tree is located on the island and is estimated to be 1,000 years old. The tree is 44 feet in height and has a circumference of 35 feet. Goose Island is a great place to just get away! | Landforms

22: Happy Texas | City | Happy Texas is located in the panhandle planes region of Texas. Happy Texas is very happy town they even have their own slogan which is "a town without a frown." Happy Texas is really small with a population of only 647 people. Happy Texas' first brick building was built in 1913 which is only 98 years old. By 1940 Happy had a population of only 546 people.

23: Guadalupe Peak is just east of El Paso. This is the highest point in Texas. It is located in Guadalupe National Park. Guadalupe Peak inhabits all sorts of different Texan animals! This a great place to go if u want to get up and get active! Enjoy the scenery! | Guadalupe Peak

24: Fairfield Lake | Water | Fairfield lake is located in the City of Fairfield in Freestone County Texas. Fairfield lake has a surface area of 2,159 acres. The lake also has a maximum depth of 49ft. All year round the lake is Moderately clear and beautiful. The lake also has great fishing year round for any level fisherman.

25: El Paso | El Paso is located on the Rio Grande. El Paso is in west Texas. The city was founded in 1850. In 1881 the population boomed to 10,000. El Paso is so much fun to visit.

26: Dr.pepper Museum | Historical importance | The Dr.Pepper museum is located in Waco, Texas. The museum was founded in 1988. In their 1st year open they had 1,200,000 visitors. The museum is in a 100 year-old building. When the museum first opened it had only 1,600 artifacts. Today the museum has over 100,000 artifacts.

27: Comal River | Water | The Comal River is located in New Braunfels, Texas. The Comal River is the shortest river in Texas. The river only flows 2.5 miles. After the 2.5miles it flows into the Guadalupe river. The river remains the same temperature of 72 degrees Fahrenheit year round.

28: Blue Lagoon | Water | Blue Lagoon is located in Huntsville, Texas. Blue Lagoon Is mainly for scuba divers, they also allow people to swim at their own risk because there is no lifeguard. Also today the water temp. was 88 degrees so the water is a normal temp.year round. They also allow camping for people who want to dive and camp.

29: A&M | A&M is located in College Station, Texas. The school began in 1871 and is still here today. A&M stands for Agriculture and Mechanical. A&M's mascot is a collie.The dogs name is Reveille. | College
