1: Table Manners. | . as you wait sitting in the chair at the table, place napkin in lap neatly. . no elbow's on the table. . no speaking while chewing. . chew with mouth closed and try not to make eating noises. . take small bites, and do not eat fast...eat at a steady pace. . keep utensils close and only at your mouth, on the table, or in your dish. . never reach for something across the table, always ask. . say please and thank you for anything handed to you, for the dinner in general, etc. . excuse yourself when leaving the table. . compliment the person who prepared the meal. . wipe your mouth gently with napkin, and push your chair in when leaving.

2: Accepting And Declining An Invitation. | . accepting: be kind and smile and show interest. say yes or no thank you. ask for information about the event you will attend and the time. RSVP and be on time and prepared. ask if anything is needed. *such as food, presents, etc.* . declining: kindly say no thank you. and give your sincerest regrets and hopes/wishes to whoever invited you.

3: RSVP. | . RSVP by the date given. . call the number of the host of the party to RSVP, set place, reply as quickly as possible for courtesy to the host. . write or say "i accept", and if you will have another guest/escort(mother, father, sibling, etc.) coming along with you.

4: Gift-Giving. | . if gift is required or expected, get an appropriate gift for whomever it is for. kindly give the gift and smile. say your welcome only after thank you is said. be kind of others giving the person a gift, also.

5: Being A Guest. | . be generous to people or family around you. . if asked for beverage or snack, deny or accept as kindly as possible. . if asking for restroom, ask nicely. . may i, please, thank you. . tell the host thank you for letting you be a guest.

6: Being A Host. | . be nice to any guest you have, talk to all of them not just one. . offer any refreshments or inform them where the restroom is. . introduce them to everyone. . conversate with them. . welcome them for staying and visiting. . make them feel welcome. . compliment them on clothing, hair, etc.
