FC: IF YOU GIVE A DOG A BONE By the First Grade Students at Solomon Schechter Day School of Greater Hartford
This story was written and illustrated by first graders during library class. The story is a circle story, which means it ends at the same place where it begins. Enjoy!
If you give a dog a bone
 He might eat the bone!
Then he would bury the bone.
Then the dog is dirty and needs a bath.
But he might not like baths, and he'll run out of the bathroom and soak the carpet.
While he's running, he sees another dog out the window. He goes out the door and he plays with the other dog.
They might play hide and seek.
When he's hiding, the other dog might never find him.
He sees a ball rolling, and the dog runs and gets it. He throws it onto the grass.
He sees a cat on the grass, and the dog throws a ball to the cat. The cat does not catch the ball! The dog runs after the cat.
You see the dog chasing the cat. Then you take a leash, put it on the dog, and take the dog back home.
Then the dog is sad, so you give him a bone. And if you give a dog a bone...
