BC: The Italians were noted for their diligence and sobriety as workmen. In the late 19th and 20th centuries, Italians often became fishermen, shoemakers, waiters, fruit sellers, and tradesmen. Most were unskilled laborers though, working in mines and construction jobs.

1: In 1850, less than 4000 Italians were reported in the U.S, how ever, 4 years later, because the influx of Italian immigrants migrated, the population skyrocketed to 44,000.
2: There is couple reason why Italians choose to make a long journey to American. They have been having a lot of problem they own such as landloards controled most of the land and they charge high rent for the Italians.
3: Starting from the bottom of the occupational ladder working up, they worked jobs that's hard, dirty,dangerous that others didn't want.
4: They feel depreseed, and pressured, because they need to work very hard to get people accept.
5: They settled in different parts of New york. But they tried to settled near all-Italians neighborhoods, and later they formed a area call "Little Italy".
