Woodrow Wilson (Lead Singer) Woodrow Wilson was the President of the United States during World War One. His 14 Points speech was greatly influential to end the war. He had tried to keep the United States out of the war, but when we joined in, the war was virtually over.
Kaiser Wilhelm II (Lead Guitar) Wilhelm II was the last German Emperor and King of Prussia. He had been a really good friend of Franz Ferdinand who was assassinated. Wilhelm offered Germany's support to Austria because of this friendship. Near the end of the war, his navy mutinied and Wilhelm was forced to abdicate. After he abdicated, he went to the Netherlands in exile.
Czar Nicholas II (Drums) Czar Nicholas II was the emperor of Russia during World War One. He was also the last emperor of Russia. The people in Russia did not like the way he was ruling and revolted. After the February Revolution in 1917, he abdicated. In 1918, his family and him were all executed.
Winston Churchill (Bass) Winston Churchill was First Lord of the Admiralty during World War One. After the Battle of Gallipoli, though, he was forced to step down because it ended disastrously. He was then put in charge of a Battalion. After proving himself, he was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel and was in command of the 6th Battalion and part of the 9th battalion.
I never realized the deep blue skies, Until they faded gray. You never notice things, "till they go away. My mama sent a letter, She said I could do better. But she don't see things here, Or how we live in constant fear. My papa said, "don't lose an arm, You're needed on the farm." But he don't know how things go, Or how I lost a finger 'cause of the snow. My sweet girl said she watches the moon, And prays that I come home soon. But she knows i might not come home at all, Yet she still waits for me on her to call. Chorus: Oh in the war, this bloody war. I just wanna go home, Home to my mama, and the girl I left behind me. | in the war
Tomorrow night is Christmas Eve, The night my mama will surely grieve. It will be the darkest night, But yet, not one soul will fight. Last year we sung in the choir, But tonight I have no fire. My fiends and I laughed last year, But there are miles between there and here. Tomorrow night is Christmas eve, the night my girl shall surely grieve, But no one will put up a fight, For it is a silent holy night. Today is Christmas eve and not a shot was fired Instead a chorus of carols was heard. We have made a one day truce And cut a Christmas tree of Spruce. Chorus: Christmas Eve the Silent Night, Not a soldier here will fight. For we shall help our brothers, Even if they are from other mothers. | Christmas Truce
