FC: Jackson's Kindergarten Year! 2011-2012 Mrs. Stone

1: Most of what I really need To know about how to live And what to do and how to be I learned in kindergarten. Wisdom was not at the top Of the graduate school mountain, But there in the sandpile at Sunday school. These are the things I learned: Share everything. Play fair. Don't hit people. Put things back where you found them. Clean up your own mess. Don't take things that aren't yours. Say you're sorry when you hurt somebody. Wash your hands before you eat. Flush. Warm cookies and cold milk are good for you. Live a balanced life - Learn some and think some And draw and paint and sing and dance And play and work everyday some. Take a nap every afternoon. When you go out into the world, Watch out for traffic, Hold hands and stick together. Be aware of wonder.

2: The night before Jack's birthday he asked if I could lay out his clothes. As he was watching, I laid out a brand new star wars shirt and Jack's face just lit up! When I woke him on his birthday morning...he said "Guess what Aussie...I'm five now!" He also let Aussie down the ladder first since it was his birthday! He came running up to me that morning before preschool and said "mom, do you notice anything different about me?" I said "what is it Jack?" He said..."I growd...do you want to come see?" So we headed out to our measuring wall and sure enough he had grown 1/2 inch since the last time we measured him in November! Jack had a great birthday at daycare and that night grandma and grandpa came over. Jack made the meal of all his favorites...chicken nuggets, french fries, corn on the cob, bread with butter, applesauce, chocolate milk and football cupcakes! | Happy 5th Birthday Jackson

He was all smiles when he got weighed, measured and did the eye exam. He even liked Dr. Doneland checking him out. However....when the nurses came in and asked Jack to pull his pants down to his knees...he was embarassed. From then on it was no good. He screamed his head off when he got his three shots. Needless to say he was off kilter for the rest of the day. Poor guy! | Jackson was 44.25" tall and weighed 47 pounds.
