FC: Scrap Book Of Iosif Vissarionovich Dzhugashvili (Joseph Stalin) Biography By:Michael Lemanske

1: Joseph Stalins Childhood Joseph Stalin was born in Gori, Georgia on 21 December, 1879. Georgia was then a part of the Russian empire. Stalin’s original name was Iosif Vissarionovich Dzhugashvili. His father was a cobbler and an alcoholic. His mother worked as maid. As a child, Joseph experienced the poverty that most peasants had to endure in Russia at the end of the nineteenth century. At the age of seven he suffered from smallpox. He survived but the scars remained on his face. Due to this, he was called as “pocky” by his friends.

2: Joseph Stalins Adulthood During this time Russia was ruled by an all powerful Czar. Stalin did not like it so he revolted against these ideals. Because he did this he became apart of the Social Democratic Labour Party. Also instead of going into exile like a lot of his other compatriots who also disliked czarism, Joseph stayed in the country to build a resistance and eventually change Russia. Joseph was doing everything in his power to take down czarism and even helped plan a strike at the Rothschild plant. He was put into custody for his involvement and was sentenced to a year and a half in jail. After he was aloud to leave jail he was shipped to Siberia where he stayed until he escaped in 1904. A dispute that boomed in 1903 between Vladimir Lenin and Julius Martov would make Stalin's next political move happen. Stalin became a supporter of the Bolsheviks, which supported Vladimir Lenin. In 1904 when Stalin escaped from Siberia, almost as soon as he arrived he began planning strikes as he had before. Even his deportation to Siberia could not tame his political fervor and desire to change Russia the way he wanted it to be.

3: How Joseph Stalin Became Famous When Vladimir Lennin was in control of the USSR Joseph Stalin had worked for him and his communist ways. but the day Lennin died some of his last words were "Done let Stalin take control" But they didn't listen. He still gained control and took over the country. When he was ruler he would kill or imprison someone if they even whispered about the government being bad. over the years he ruled very terribly and soon he joined up with a man we all know. He had Joined with Hitler. Stalin and Hitler signed a non-agression pact with each other. this meant that if Hitler dint attack them, they wouldn't attack Hitler. also the other way around. Just to show that they were on the same side they actually invaded Poland together. After that they settled down a little bit and just ruled like regular. But soon Hitler got bored and tried to attack Stalin in the USSR. But since USSR was one of the superpowers at the time Hitler had lost the battle. that is how JOseph Stalin became Famous.
