1: Mrs. Savoy's Philosophy of Education Becoming a mommy was a catalyst for a simple question which sealed my passion for education: I wonder what internal, mental image a child thinks of while looking at the number fifteen? I could listen to him count to 15 and assume what I hear is solid mental image of the quantity of 15 objects. How do I know he sees in his mind's eye what I want him to see? How do I know he is not simply reading the number 15 and taking it as a cue to merely chatter the memorized sounds of counting aloud? I believe the goal of education should be to help individuals generate internal representations that accurately reflect external representations the individual makes. | Mrs. Savoy's Fifth Grade

20: Bryan Littleton | NINTH INNING SAVE It was July 6, 2011. I had made allstars for Evangeline Little League. And I was playing Baldwin Little League. We were tied and they put me in to pitch. And it came down to the ninth inning, two out, bases loaded and now I was pitching. I was so nervous, but I told myself I could do it. The big batter came up to bat and I got two strikes on him, and then I threw the ball and he hit the ball! Next, the second base man caught the ball and threw it to first and we won. I could not believe that I saved us and we won the game. We were so excited we dog piled, and it was FUN! Although we lost the championship game, I will never forget my turn to pitch!
22: My name is Amanda! I am ten years old. I love singing, dancing, and doing crafts. What I've learned at Louisiana Connections Academy helps me with so many things. In science I learned about the different types of rocks and crystals that also helped me with my jewelry designs. I have also learned that there isn't just one way you can learn something, and that you have your own way to learn things.
