1: Once Upon a Time . . . There were Apollo students forced to sit through a boring Library Orientation. This is the librarian's doomed attempt to amuse them and to make them aware of library rules and offerings. Written by Ms. Whyman Apollo Career Center Productions 2010
2: Library Staff | Mrs. Maier | Ms. Whyman
3: Basic Rules | Bring a pass; present to library staff Sign in at circulation desk Be respectful and courteous to others Stay on task Speak in a low voice Treat books and equipment kindly No downloading games or music; no playing games on computers Use the color printer only for printing final paper
5: Checkouts | 1 AR (Accelerated Reader) book at a time (identified by the blue sticker on the spine; reading level and point value in the back) 3 books total 3 week checkout period - May renew once If book overdue - no more checkouts until returned. You will be charged the replacement cost of the book if lost or damaged. Magazines can be checked out overnight
6: Audio Books | There are a variety of audio books available in the Media Center office. Only one set checked out at a time. There are personal CD and cassette players also available for checkout if needed.
8: Accelerated Reader | To access, click on the Renaissance Learning icon on your computer desktop; or use the link within the Library Resources Moodle | username is 1st initial; 1st 3 letters of last name password is ABC
10: Reading Contests | AR Points | 25 points each quarter = total # of points earned to spend at auction | Read It & Reap | 20 books = READ Poster 25 books = $100 gift certificate drawing
