FC: Lisa See By, Anne-Marie Dahms
1: Lisa See was born in Paris, France on February 18th, 1955.
2: She lived with her mom in Los Angeles during her childhood, but also visited her father many times in the local Chinatown.
3: In Chinatown, Lisa stayed with her Chinese-American family who had a huge impact on her life and work.
4: After graduating highschool, Lisa went to Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles and graduated with a bachelors degree in humanities.
5: In college, Lisa creted her own major in modern Greek studies, which helped her a lot with her research skills.
6: Two years after she graduated, while she was traveling abroad in Europe, Lisa came up with the idea of writing.
7: She now live in Brentwood California as an author.
8: Her husband and sons are the two greatest joys in her life.
9: See has been to all of the places she has written about, including China
10: To improve her books, she also went on adventures where she ate and camped like the characters in her books to help describe the attributes of the story.
11: Her book, Gold Mountain, was written about her actual family and past events.
12: Her ideas for Flower Net started while she was traveling with her husband, who is and attorney, in China.
13: Lisa hates procrastinating and comes up with a daily routine that she follows.
14: One example of her routine is right when she wakes up she writes at least 1,000 words.
15: Most details that are left out in some books, play their part in one of the other mystery-thrillers she has written.
16: One example of extra details is how some details left out of Peony in Love showed up in God Mountain.
17: In her free time, Lisa often goes on walks or plays tennis.
18: She also loves to watch movies, viewing an average of 100 a year.
19: What else does Lisa do? She is the city commissioner of L.A., so she is fairly busy in that genre.
20: Plus, she does a lot of speaking events at the Chinese-American museum.
21: Speaking of the Chinese American museum, Lisa was honor as the recipient of the Chinese American Museum's History Maker's Award.
22: She was also honored as the National Woman of the year by the Organization of Chinese American Women.
23: Two of Lisa's books, Shanghai Girls and Snow Flower and the Secret Fan received honorable mentions from the Asian/Pacific American Awards for Literature.
24: She also recently designed a walking tour of L.A.'s Chinatown.
25: Last, but not least, Lisa See is a critically- acclaimed international best-seller- now that's something to be proud of.

27: Flower Net was based off of Lisa's experience with her husband, who is an attorney. The setting of the plot is in both Bejing, China dn Los Angeles, California in present time.
28: Two unknown murders take place in the U.S.A. at the same time.
29: The murdered people also were sons of high ranked leaders in each country and were killed the same way.
31: Flower Net shows how both U.S. and Chinese attorneys work together to crack the code tho these unknown massacres.
