BC: The End

Once upon a time, there was a girl named Blue. She lived in a small, country home on the prairie. One day, her ma called her while she was feeding the chickens in their chicken coop. | "Blue! I have bad news. Your grandma is sick, and I need you to bring her some of my magical cookies!" “Alright ma! I'll be off by noon. Oh ma, I forgot where she lives!” Little Blue exclaimed. “Over the river, and through the prairie then to Grandmother's house you go.” “I'll pack my basket and grab Pecos, my armadillo, and head off.” “Be careful sweetheart,” said ma. | 1

Blue made her way down the dusty, country road, and she came across a patch of cacti that blocked her path. “Oh no!” she cried. “How will I ever get across?!” Little Blue thought and thought and finally spotted a small hole she could crawl through. On the other side hanging off a sign she found a beautiful blue cape with a white star on the back. She put it on and admired it. Then she set off, Pecos at her heels. | 4

She walked and walked and soon came to a field of bluebonnets. Suddenly, a coyote came out of its den. “Yum! Are those magical cookies?” he asked. “Yes, Mr. Coyote, but I need to take these to my sick granny." “You won't give one to me?” the coyote whimpered. “No, sir. My granny needs these magical cookies.” said Little Blue, and she walked past him. | 6

 7

The coyote really wanted those cookies, so he followed Little Blue to her granny's house. He climbed in through the back window then tied up and hid Blue's granny in the closet. He put on a nightgown and climbed into the old bed. Little Blue came in the small house and went to the bed. “Granny! It's Blue! I brought you the magical cookies.” Blue walked closer to her granny. “Granny, what a big nose you have!” “Oh never mind that.” said the coyote in a low voice, forgetting that he was supposed to be a Granny. Little Blue realized that the grandma was a fake and grabbed a frying pan. KA-POW! She hit the wolf with the frying pan and he flew out the window. | 8

 10

“What should we do with the other cookies?” Little Blue asked, looking down at Pecos. He nudged her leg, hinting that he wanted one. “Here you go boy! Enjoy a nice reward for coming with me on my little adventure,” Blue exclaimed, giving him the last cookie. | 10

As Little Blue turned around to set the last cookie on the table, she heard a very strange noise, when she turned back she saw Pecos transforming into a little boy! “My name is Red, though I do like the sound of Pecos”, Red told Blue, and she knew that the two of them were going to be best friends. | 12

So in the end, Grandma was feeling better and she was up and about. Little Blue and Red were the best of friends, and the coyote knew to stay away from them. Most importantly, they all lived happily ever after! | 14
