FC: Josephine March

1: Books are important to Josephine March because she lives to read. She sometimes reads books to entertain herself. On Christmas she received a special book from her mother that would be her guide though her long journey. If anything she wanted to always be surrounded with books.

2: Ice Skates are significant because it represents the time when she let her anger get to her. She ignored her younger sister Amy for revenge on what she did. Amy then fell into the ice and could of died because Jo left her behind. This incident caused Jo to learn to control her anger.

3: Jo loves to act in their small home theater. The plays are written by her and she usually plays as a guy. She is known as more of the tomboy and sometimes wishes she were a guy instead.

4: This mailbox is important because the entire March family wrote letters to each other and their neighbors. They would also include items to give in the mailbox.

5: These pictures resemble when Jo cut her most precious beauty her hair. She did it to help supply money to her father who was injured in the war.

6: This big hat is the hat her best friend Teddy gave her as a joke. She said if she had a big hat to prevent her face from getting burned from the sun she would wear it. Wearing it showed that she didn't care for fashion.

7: Salt resembles the first time she had arranged to cook dinner. She messed up her desert by using salt instead of sugar. Though the dinner was a disaster they still had a great time and laughed it off.

8: Jo tried using eyeglasses once like her friend Mr. Bhaer does when reading and she liked how her print was magnified. She was also starting to feel like she had on his mental and moral eyeglasses. What she had been writing was now unmoral and trash to her. It made her realize the money she got from writing unmoral things wasn't worth it.

9: This picture represents that she also loves to write as much as she likes to read. Her writing helped her raise money because it was getting published in the newspaper.

10: This stile represents when Laurie asked her to marry him. She said no because she knew she wouldn't be able to be more than friends with him. To her the marriage would go wrong.

11: This doll represents her sister Beth. Beth was a kind girl who loved her dolls and kittens. Jo was closer to her than her other sisters. It was the sadest time for her when Beth passed away.

12: This umbrella is important to Jo because Mr. Bhaer asked her to marry him under an umbrella in the rain and she said yes.
