1: First thing is first, to start living a healthy lifestyle, is to start eating right. There are many ways to change up your diets and your daily snacks. Look down at these two pictures and decide, who do you think picked a healthier choice?
3: As a kid it is easy to make the wrong food and snack choices, there are just so many yummy snacks out there! But we have to remember that most of those snacks are filled with sugar which isn't good for us. Who wants to go to the dentist more than they have to? There are many nutritional snacks out there to be aware of, such as strawberries, cherry's, pineapples, grapes, bananas, nuts, apples, carrots, peanut butter, yogurt and cheese. it is important to remember our food diagram and how we should include each food category in to our day. There are fruits, oils, milk, meat, grains and your vegetables. Did you know that carrots can help you see better? Or that asparagus can protect you from getting cancer? Each vegetable is full of the vitamins and minerals your body needs to live a healthy lifestyle.
4: Another way to stay healthy is brushing your teeth regularly and flossing regularly. Visiting the dentist when it is time, which is about every 6 months to a year for a cleaning. Your teeth are part of your health and if they aren't healthy you aren't either.
5: Eating right, brushing your teeth, and staying healthy, also gives you energy to do the things you like to do, such as play with your friends.
7: Playing your favorite sports is a great way to stay active and healthy. There are many sports you might enjoy playing, everyone is different and will have one they enjoy differently from their friends or do better at than others. Here is a list of sports to chose from to stay active: swimming ,diving running ,ice skating wrestling ,gymnastics golf tennis skateboarding in-line skating biking
9: We've already talked about the many sports to choose from, but there's even more good news — many other nonsport activities can provide exercise and keep you active, including: playing at a playground raking leaves jumping rope dancing around your bedroom walking your dog working in the garden washing the car making a snowman
10: More TIPS for a healthy life style: * Don't pick your nose. Not only is it gross but it can spread germs! Yuck! *Kids don't need to lift weights to stay strong and get muscles, You can do this by just being active during play time! *Don't bite your nails, not only is there germs under there but it can cause bleeding and infections *Always remember to get your shots! They help your immune system fight off certain infections before you get sick.
