2: Terrorism | Terrorism is the idea of terror being intentionally inflicted upon someone or a country. | The attack on the World Trade Centers on September 11, 2001 was a terrorist attack.
3: Al Qaeda | Al Qaeda is one of the main terrorist groups that the U.S.A. is currently at war with. | Osama bin Laden was the former leader of Al Qaeda before he was killed in an attack by the U.S.Navy Seals.
4: Judaism | Judaism is the religion of the Jewish people; the religion originated in the Middle East. | Hannukah is the holiday of the Jewish faith that occurs at around the same time as the Christian Christmas.
5: Yom Kippur | Yom Kippur is the most religious day of the year for the Jewish people. It is also known as "The Day of Atonement". | Yom Kippur of 2011 did take place on Friday and Saturday, October 7 and 8, of this month.
6: Suuni | Suuni is the largest branch of Islam. | Suuni is also known as the 'Ahl s-Sunnah in the Arabic faith.

8: Palestinian | A Palestinian is someone who lives in the Middles Eastern country, Palestine. | The picture to left is of the Palestinian Maysoon Zahid; he is a Palestinian because he is from Palestine.
9: Islam | Islam is a faith that originated in the Middle East and has a symbol of a moon and a star. | Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world.
10: Taliban | The Taliban is another Middle Eastern terrorist group on top of Al Qaeda. | The Taliban and Al Qaeda terrorist are allies in there attempt to destroy the U.S.
11: Ramadan | Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar and is also the month of fasting. | Ramadan is similar to the Christian tradition, lent. Lent is a time when people of the faith give up something for a designated amount of time.
12: Arab | An Arab is a person who lives in the Middle Eastern region, | The President of Dubai, Sheik Muhammad bin Rashid Al Maktum, is an Arab person because he lives in the Middle East.
13: OPEC | Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) is an organization that manages most of the Middle East's oil. | OPEC produced 29,591,000 barrels per day in 2005.
14: Synagogue | A synagogue is Jewish place of worship. | A Christian church is very similar to a Jewish synagogue.
15: Mosque | A mosque is an Islam place of warship. | A rabbi may be the one is charge of an Islam temple called a mosque.
16: Bedouin | A Bedouin is simply an Arab desert-dweller. | A very popular Bedouin saying is as follows: "I against my brother, my brothers and me against my cousins, then my cousins and I against strangers".
17: Zionism | Zionism is a Jewish political movement that supports the self-determination of the Jewish state, Israel. | A Zionist would support the idea of the people being able to decide Israels political status. | This picture shows someone who against Zionism.
18: Jihad is Islamic term that is translated into the noun struggle. | The word Jihad (struggle) appears 41 times the Islamic sacred text, the Quran. | Jihad
19: Hamas | Jihad | Hamas is an Islamic political party that governs the Gaza strip. | The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades are the military division of the Hamas.
20: Fundamentalism | Fundamentalism is to adhere strongly to a doctrine of some sorts. | Anyone who believes in the strict interpretation of the U.S. Constitution would be like a fundamentalist.
21: Christianity | Christianity a world-wide practiced religion. It is a monotheistic religion with God being there deity. | Christmas is a very popular Christian holiday celebrated on December 25.
22: PLO | PLO stands for Palestine Liberation Organization; and in the beginning it was a terrorist organization against Israel. | PLO was founded in 1964 and is the representative of the Palestinian people.
23: Intifada | In Arabic, intifada is literally translated into shaking off. | It is used in Arabic versions of New Testament, Luke:"shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them".
24: Hijab | A hijab refers to the head covering worn by Islamic women. | One of the reasons a hijab is worn is for distiguishment; to prevent from harassment.
